  • This is the dumbest problem to have ever. One stupid fucking rule that needs to change to allow sailors to carry a small cache of weapons and be trained to use them. Never again a hijacked ship. So fucking stupid they have to waste billions because they cant see this simple fucking solution. Not even that they cant see, but they laugh it off like "ahh that's not gonna work" Fucking morons.

  • Provide them with alternative livelihoods? Is that a joke?

Turn them into fish food. How's that for an alternative livelihood?

  • They are doing it wrong. So much easier to just put security on each ship that passes through the area, you are only talking about 8-12 pirates per attack, put ten trained men on those ships just before a ship goes into the area and take them off as the ship leaves the area. The logistics of moving people can be done with dingys or choppers. big shipping corporations could contract services like these and save millions of dollars and minimize several gov's. spending.

  • @OxygenSCII and should that security fail to repel the pirates then everyone on board the ship will likely be killed in retribution for attacking the pirates when they take over the ship.

Even if they succeed in preventing the pirates the security on the ship will have fatalities and you will run out of people willing to guard your ship.

Also most security gets some kind of a bonus amount if a security man is killed while on duty and the cost will kill the merchant company.

  • How about sinking these apes?

  • What they do need is to install the same gatling guns that modern aircraft carriers use and train the crews how to use them....problem solved....blow the fucking pirates right to kingdom come.....

  • @MydogTobes there are a few problems with mounting Gatling guns that aircraft carriers use on a merchant ship

1 ammunition flies by. 1000 rounds are probably gone in like 15 seconds of firing.

2 its a restricted weapon and only military organisations can even hope to legally get a hold of them.

3 the training needed for the crew is far more severe than rifle training and would cost a ton.

4 the guns themselves cost more than you would expect.

5 it is much safer to give up their cargo.

  • @DakkaDakka12 ummm, how is it safer to let the pirates aboard the ship where they can kill one of the crew rather than killing them out at a distance? It is in the companys best intrest to train the crew how to defend themselves against this threat with deadly force cause it is a deadly force coming at them. F-them somali pirates...

  • @MydogTobes pirates attack ships for a reason, giving in to their demands is less likely to produce casualties than defending against an attack. and again the price associated with purchasing munitions and training the crews to adequately defend themselves is far too expensive for most companies. To put it simply NATO needs to get off its ass and put more ships on patrol to prevent pirating.

  • @DakkaDakka12 Basically your saying a cop on the phone is better than a gun in the hand? The cops always show up too late to do anything about the situation...More ships patrolling wouldn't be a bad idea. Bullets are cheap tho..One well placed shot is all you need in a situation...even a flare gun could be leathel. I carry concealed almost everywhere i go. I prob won't run into pirates, but, maybe a mugger. God pity them because I won't be a victim, I will be a survivor and patriot

  • @MydogTobes That is a very good idea, and I'm sure that some merchant companies can afford the cost. However, there are also smaller and more user-friendly heavy machine guns, for a fraction of the cost. Any gun will do, as long as it can punch through a wooden or aluminum boat.

  • @Bangurdead25 yeah, isnt that some shit, though? They using wooden dinghys to attack and comandeer an ocean going freighter? The brits 200 some years ago could defend a ship against that with flint-lock rifles....Go figure.

  • didn't do that shit against the Iranians! #NukesBitch

  • all the blah blah blahs...kill them all fucking somali pirates!!!!

  • Sail in convey and hire a country to supply Naval support, I think that might be a deterrent.

  • This video's comments are much less racist, than the Canadian video with pirates.

  • well this is simple LET THE GODDAMN CREW OF THE CARGO SHIPS CARRY WEAPONS .

  • they need an apache heli.

  • Someone should go to Somalia and adjacent countries and teach those people how plant crops. That way they won´t have to steal from ships at sea.

  • @pontedupre007

They used to fish until the U.S. and European countries started dumping toxic waste off the coast of Somalia killing everything in the water. Now there's no fish and the people have nothing to eat and no way to make money.

  • @pontedupre007 It's nothing but sand and rock in that shit hole. And they don't steal ships to feed themselves, the U.N. does that for them by giving them Chia Pets which is able to feed the average skinny village for about a week. They do it to buy weapons and munitions to fund their civil war against the government in order to create a caliphate.

  • @BlueFalcon86 Chia pets lmao

  • Yeah !! Kill all the pirates. They are just lazy people who do not want to work. SO they go to the high seas to steal from ships and ask for ransoms.

  • Arm the crews with assault rifles and rpgs, give them a few weeks training, and send them on their merry way.

  • @HillSavage72 it might help if they formed convoys too... with navy ship escorts.

  • I don't get what the big deal is with the stupid international laws governing weapons on ships. The weapons aren't going to be offloaded in ports. They can be stashed behind locked doors in port and have them ready to protect the ship in international waters. These douche_bag pirates commit acts of war when they attack ships so they should all be destroyed on the spot because no one will miss them.

  • These people need to learn, if you can afford a ship, you can afford guns and people to use them. You don't need patrol ships, you need armed merchants.

  • @Bangurdead25 The Military isn't a defence for the corporations, they should do that.

  • @Bangurdead25 what you don't realize is that the "MERCHANT" crew are not professionally trained to use said guns, and a conflict between "MERCHANTS" and pirates will end bloody. For the merchants, simply giving up their cargo is a much better trade than risking their life to fight pirates. I am sorry but you do not realize the difference that unlike video games where one person can take on many, real life situations lead to many casualties unless the defender is highly trained.

  • @DakkaDakka12 I'm not talking merchants, I'm talking mercenaries. There are literally thousands of private security companies around the world that would be more than happy to man machine guns on a merchant ship. I reiterate, that if you have enough money to buy a substantially sized boat, you have enough to buy gun, and pay people to use them. And no, it's not always safer, considering those pirates murder and execute whomever they please.

  • AAARRRRRR

  • "Arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win you're still a retard."

  • @Ferreal92 Too true!

  • @Ferreal92 lol thats a old one i posted that like a year ago

  • @Ferreal92 Fucked up man... fucked up

  • Why the hell are these ships unarmed?!? These shipping companies have cargo boats worth millions, and they can't pay mercenaries to come along for the trip? There are plenty of out-of-work ex-servicemen in this country who'd do the job for $100 a day.

  • @MondoBeno Believe it or not it's due to international gun control rules. They're forced to be unarmed just like subjects in the state of Illinois. How retarded is that? Criminals the world over love gun control!

  • 4-6 men with 20mm hardmounted cannon would put an end to this too. Crews of men get on near India and get off to board another ship heading back taking their weapons with them. ships already modified with the hardware for the guns. There is no one to ask permission to arm the ships. they merely have to take the ininative.

  • No, not hundreds of ships; just allow the ship to be armed with 4-8 guards and those Somali cowards would be shark bait.

  • Go pirates! Yay!

  • A small change in international Shipping laws would be enough: allow shipping agencies to send mercenaries with their ships. Problem solved

  • if somali kids used their skills they use in pirating on an actual job, they might actually be successful....

  • @throwdownmma1 Its not that simple. somalia lacks any major natural resources let alone the stability neded to access them. Without that theres little hope for youth accept to become pirates.

  • @liberalmike1994 That's THEIR problem. Not ours. They choose that path, they have to be responsible for their own actions and whatever consequences that my occur. Somalia is a shithole and it always will be.

  • @SuperBomber01 Somalia is one of the last REAL free countries in the world. You need to recognize freedom when you see it because the patriot act and the government placing gps tracking systems in your blackberry sure aint freedom pal. I am a real and proud somali and i get that we have our problems like every country but i'd choose anarchy over a military state which the USA is right now.

  • @mayflowerstein REAL free country? Then tell me why that Al-Shabab is so happy to enforce idiotic 12th century style laws on people to the point of fanaticism. BTW, the Patriot Act doesn't affect me because I'm not even living in the US, yet alone even American. GPS in my phone? I don't really care because I'm not some luny ass criminal and I respect the law. Anarchy? Do you even have any idea what the consequences anarchy can bring?

  • @SuperBomber01 You need to understand SOMALI POLITICS. Al-shabab is losing now because they tried to enforce a strict version of sharia law that the majority of somalis did not agree with. We somalis are muslims but not fanatics like the ones over in saudi arabia. Islam has been in somalia for over 1000 years but we have never killed each other over it or oppressed others because of islam. We had better things to do...like serving africa's harsh environment...

  • @mayflowerstein Islam itself is a backward drive to human progress, much like any other religion. That's more than enough. It's bad enough to know that warlords in Somalia were more concerned with their own safety than actually shaping the country into real progress back in the 90s.

  • @SuperBomber01 I want to educate you on islam. To me you look like a lost little lamb staggering down the dark road, you can still learn brother you see the BEAUTY of islam. Now the first step before you convert islam is to admit that deep down you want to be a muslim. I know it will be a difficult path but TOGETHER we can do it. Are you READY? I SAID ARE YOU READY BROTHER?

Side note: The majority of somalis hate warlords, they exploit our people and resources for their own gain.

  • @SuperBomber01 Lol well the new law that obama will be signing soon will effect u me and everyone in the world. In a nutshell it says the americans can arrest anyone in the US and around world, they don't have give them a trail, and can hold them indefinitely. You need to be some "luny ass criminal" either, they can arrest u for just being a acquaintance of someone who did something that they label a terrorist.

  • @mayflowerstein How is it going to affect me if I respect the law and abide by it? Hm? The only people it'll affect are people who break it. It's as easy as that. And I don't see why the words of a man who died nearly two centuries ago should even be taken account. From that logic, then I should take account of whatever Hitler said in the 20s and 30s.

  • @mayflowerstein You probably just made it onto a watch list for telling the truth. I wonder how long before Americans start getting those knocks on the door in the middle of the night and wondering what their neighbor must have been involved in to have been taken away in the night and never seen again.

  • @SuperBomber01 Thomas Jefferson once said “Those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” Already its gps in our phones, and gropings and harassment at the airport, and polluting the environment by big corporations who are "people" LOL, etc. This is much bigger than just somalia. We no longer have the luxury to say that the US is becoming a military state. We are IN ONE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

  • @mayflowerstein Military state? Then tell me - if it was a military state, then the government should be run by generals, not by civilians. The military should be the central part of politics, not the civilian government or anything else. Merely pure paranoia. The only time the US ever got close to being a police state was during the late years of WW1, WW2 and the early to mid years of the Cold War - and even the USSR and Nazi Germany were worse than that.

  • @SuperBomber01 LOL to maintain the facade of being a "democratic country" these "civilans" are elected into office not by the people but corporations. And when they do get into office they work to protect the interests of the corporations that elected them. Before the election process even begins corporations give thousands of dollars for candidates who agree and wish to protect their interests or whoever is just good at lying so he can make it to office. Examples" Obama, bush, newt gingrich

  • @liberalmike1994 Somalia is MANY natural resources. Thats what being fought over somalia right now. The "anti-piracy" countries fighting over our clean seafood. The president and his so called "government" want to control the banana fields, the livestock, and the likes in the south. In the north we have the traitors that call themselves "somalilanders" selling our northern shores to the ethiopians and the chinese so they can do offshore drilling. Somalia also has alot of UNTAPPED resources.

  • @throwdownmma1 Haha, and what job requires pirating skills?

  • Just hire private security like Black Water or the like and let them go to work because they are able to get the same weapons as the military. A 5 man team armed with a 240B alternating AP, Incendiary, Tracer. A Barret 82 with AP rounds. and the rest with M-4's. Pssshh what pirates.

  • Sink the boat .

  • Hire the Russians, they know how to deal with them. Americans are tied up for potential lawsuits. Or send lawyers to the Somalis to provide training in new tricks, piracy will be forgotten very soon.

  • @TheDiverdog1 It's not that, its's out rules, if they don't shoot at us we don't shoot them.

  • You know who would LOVE to be in that area? Mo, Wisky, Big J, and of course, The Big Stick. I'm sure they would love to take care of business there.

  • @0willsy01 exactly

  • SHit... arm them vessels to the teeth I say and FUCK EVERYBODY up that comes even in close proximity... I see a fkin rubber ducky on the water I order a fkin IonStrike on that bitch...

  • the ship owners should hire a team of soldiers to tag along with them... cheap solution and they would be able to kill pirates on site.

  • @mywJOE The problem is rules regarding weapons in on board ships in certain country's waters.

  • loure en ordur problem

  • You need to gas all those machete wielding savage niggers and turn Somalia into a beach resort town.

  • PIRATE EXPERT!? LOOOOOL

  • Send in the Russians. They know how to deal with these people.

  • @swatdiver1 Lol, they probably have a bit more experience with the fuckers. But really any somali pirate ship vs. Overpowered navy ship = shutout

  • my mind is to get guns on cruise

  • The only realistic answer for Somalia is genocide.

  • European companies are paying Italian and Swiss companies to dump NUCLEAR, CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL waste off the coast of Somalia! They have been doing this since before the civil war in Somalia and there is next to no media coverage....It might interest you to know that they are also fishing up to $300,000,000 worth of fish per year and YOUR EATING THE STUFF (so if you do nothing about this you will die of some terrible cancer)!!! CONTACT ME FOR EVIDENCE

  • Their***

  • Predator drones. :)

  • Cut the crap! Satellites see everything and everyone everywhere. With all the armies in the world waiting for the next war they could so easily conduct training in that area firing at live targets. The only reason this is allowed to continue is the pirates must be paying off the people who are sworn to protect the rest of us.

  • @a4890go Are you kidding? These Africans are dirt poor, thats why they are kidnapping people. The pirates in this video released hostages for 13.5 mil. If they tried paying off our government with that money, the government would laugh at them. We just launched 124 Tomahawk cruise missles at Lybia, each costing $600 thousand. So yeah, unless the pirates somehow have billions of dollars to spare, theyre not paying us off.

  • @a4890go your a loser, matter of fact people like you need to die, in pain, i dont blame somalians for attacking anyone that comes to there water, your just another ignorant whitey, that think you know what the fuc you talking about, you just another bill, tell me something when Somalia had a government was this going on? i wonder who sponsored the war? to be honest i hope the pirates kill anyone that they can that comes to there water, i hope they burn the shit out of them! not even from ter

  • @guru1988510 Thier water? Okay so if you step on my land, im going to execute you alright?

  • @guru1988510 You sir, are a fucktard. You're probably one of those niggers on those boats yourself. So really, do you think that just because people are in "their water" means they can hijack innocent people?

  • why dont they just put 10 wel armed comandos on each ship ant they can handle with wood boats and hungry pirates ;) it whuld be cheper than a army escort ;)

  • A few flycatchers on each vessel would take care of most illigal activities over there.

  • I cant believe the world community worries about these idiots-JUST SHOOT THEM UP, What the hell!!!!!

  • some ports do not allow armed ships...easy...before entering take the firing pin out and put it back after leaving

  • Easy sorted, place a small well armed and trained team on each ship with small missile when in the area. Blow them out the water without giving them a chance to get near.

  • Bloody pirates - stay away from Danish ships

  • Kill the pirates on sight

  • Haha, a good 'ol MG 42 at the end of the vid.

  • @GSpeedEmotion Almost, it's an MG3, the modernized version of the MG42, used by Germany, Holland, Iran, and others. Excellent weapon.

  • I like how stupid ass pirates think RPG-7's are going to blow the shit out of a big destroyer. They are lucky we care about their ships or otherwise a big cruise missile would wipe that boat into legos.

  • pirates are victims of racial profiling

  • I read a lot of the ships have small arms on them but having a fire-fight on some of these ships is dangerous because most pirates have at least RPGs and mix that with a cargo like oil or some chemical...well you get the picture.Convoys make more sense with armed escorts.

  • Why not put big guns on those ships?? That would make the most sense.

  • we already have convoys set up

  • arm the ships

  • MOst of them are armed.

  • @rickbar123 they should carry weapons on board but a lot of countries are stupid about declaring weapons when coming into port so its a huge hassle

  • @heresyournametagmark SINGAPORE DOESNT EVEN FUCKING ALLOW AiRSOFT GUN FUCKING A

  • @rickbar123

    or provide armed escort

  • @rickbar123 Phalankx is the anwers

  • Organize the ships in convoy with military escorts.

  • That's what i was thinking.

  • @hsbc2468

Yeah, and give each captain and his first mate a g18, hk 416, and mount fully auto grenade launchers on th bow and stern, 40mm on the back, and 30mm on the front. But, seriously, if you cannot defend your boat from pirates in those little ships with two or three rifle men, then you shouldn't be captain.

  • @hsbc2468 way too expensive

  • @hsbc2468 its gonna be expensive andyhey are going to have at least private escorts then
