  • very nice, I love that soft edge camouflage.

perhaps it could still use some rain streaks.

  • GOD DAM IT GOS DAM IT SHOOT! : D

  • Also, how do you highlight the recesses on the tank so well? just with black pigment and wiping off the excess? please help me

  • @SwissCheese707 I do not have pigments in my possession. I only used different filters and washes to get it to look like this. I used 3-4 filters (starting from light grey, to dark grey). Afterwards I applied black washes (just use thinner and add a couple of drops black paint to it, then apply it to the details you want to accentuate).

  • @inferno511 what kind of thinner? before i used alchohol, and that didnt work.

  • @SwissCheese707 I used the color mix from revell.. You have to be careful in applying the wash, because the thinner can mix your paint. It has to be applied very quick and the base paint has to be very hard.

  • @inferno511 ok i'll see about looking for the mix... is it usually found at you average hobby shop?

  • @SwissCheese707 Revell is well-known around here and can be found in every toyshop. But that's in Europe, don't know how it is elsewhere

  • @inferno511 ok

  • Very nice build. I like the pattern you chose. I just picked up a DML King Tiger 1/35. I have never built armor before so this should be fun.

  • Glad that you like it! This is my second armor I built, before that, I only built planes. I'm not that good though, I'm just started with this hobby, I only built 5 vehicules atm. But if you have problems building it, maybe I can help you..

  • @inferno511

Please make more videos whit 1/72 Panzers (=D)

  • @DieRotTotenkopf

sorry this was my last tank I built.. I had to quit this hobby because of school, too much work :(.. maybe i'll pick it up in the summer, but i'm not sure of that! Glad you like my vid though ;)

  • @inferno511 i face the samething youdo i lovemodelling and school gets in the way.unfortunatly, i face something else, too. i have no money.

  • @SwissCheese707 School is really time consuming...But money shouldn't be a problem if you're motivated! If you start modelling, you shouldn't buy the most expensive things on the market. I started just by buying 1 model, and bought some glue, the necessary paints and some cheap brushes. Costed around €25. Take the time to build up your collection of materials. Nowadays I have: all revell paints, good airbrush, compressor, decal materials, about 7 unfinished models, etc. Enough to keep mee going!

  • @inferno511 Well I am motivated, but im only 13 years old, so I can't get a job, and get a steady flow of income, and my parents are are all in my "grill" about "playing" outside and they don't really get my passion for modelling, so they can't really help me out there. in other words, every model i've bought, I'VE bought not my parents. So i'm just scrounging up change wherever I can get it. However, I have came to like 1/72 tanks (mainly German) and the small scale, fortunately, is cheap.

  • @SwissCheese707 Well you're certainly on the right way. It may sound strange but it's good that you have to pay your own stuff. It's the only way to get to know what your passion is! Everything I wanted got paid with my own money, learned a lot from that ;). But like you said, when you grow older, you can accept jobs to get the money.. I started when I was 8, stopped when turned 11, en started again at 18 (21 now). Only school gets in my way -_-.. 1/72 is fun, but I have some larger models to.

  • @inferno511 Ya I've tried 1/35 I built a Warrior MCV but I just didnt enjoy it... it was my first model and i think i took too big a step... honestly, i wish the world wasn't so politically correct these days so just because your young doesnt mean you can't get a job.I mean im on the 4.0 every year im sure i can handle home work and work, and work would probably only be a few hours a week, so idehave time for modeling and work and school all at the same time, just something to get me some money

  • @inferno511 And funny story, my Grandma was moving to Florida and she couldn'y think on the dot about what to get us for our birthdays, so she just gave my whole faamily a hundred dollars each, so I went out and bought 2 tigers, a Panther Ausf D, a T-34, a bunch of paint, an 8.8 cm flak/anti tank gun, some MIG pigments, and i've got a Tiger II shipping to my door currently. I still have 9$ left I know how and where to find deals and make the money last. eg. the Tiger 2 was 8$ and $3.60 s&h lol

  • @SwissCheese707 Haha nice :p, it's good to have a large stock of models. My closet is full of stuff: 1/35 Sherman Calliope; 1/35 SDKF 251; 1/32 Ju/87 Stuka; 1/32 BF-109 (only 7500 made); 1/72 Lancaster "Dambuster"; 1/72 SDFZ7 + PAK 40 + 50 infantry units; 1/72 Panther; 1/72 Nashorn; and some stuff I can't remember

  • @inferno511 Oh my gosh I completely forgot i got an Sdkfz. 251/1 Ausf. D with a 7.5 anti tank gun too with my hundred dollars (dragon) and then not with my hundred dollars but with other money i got an ME 262 nightfighter, a p51b mustang, a bf109G and an FW190 D

  • @SwissCheese707 That's a nice collection! Is it correct you are American? How come you are so interested in the European part of WWII? Maybe some family fought in Europe? I'm from Europe, if you ever saw Band of Brothers; I live 30 km's (18 miles) south of Eindhoven, and about 150 km (90 miles) north of Bastogne. Heavy battles have been fought here.. My grandparents told me very much about the war, and have been interested ever since

  • @inferno511 That is correct. I dont know actually I guess I got bored of American Shermans and M5's, and I've always liked German engineering so I just choseto start building their tanks. I have seen that series and it is a very good one. That must be very exciting living that close to such a historical battle ground. I'm right in central U.S. so I guess the closest thing I am to is the massive battle battle grounds where my own country turned on itselfon the matter of owning another human being

  • @SwissCheese707 Yes indeed, German engineering (especially during WWII) is fascinating. I have an encyclopedia wtih German's secret weapons during WWII, it's very interesting to see what they have engineered in those 5 years of warfare.. About living in a war-scarred country: the people here who lived during WOII are very traumatised about what happened, so their stories are told now and then. But one by one they start passing away, and so do their stories.. Wars musn't be forgotten..

  • @inferno511 Yup i've got a book called "the World's greatest armoured fighting vehicles" and I have all the German vehicals bookmarked. And yes warsneed to be remembered for what they have taught us. when we forget things like civilian bombings, Extreme Anti-semetism, and cruel and unusual punisments, come out of wars, then they will all just happen again.

  • @inferno511 But slavery is nothing to be proud of. What you have is actually very exciting. (from a historical standpoint)

  • @SwissCheese707 That's not your fault, it's a piece of history.. And living here it 'exciting' in a sad point of view, the stories aren't fun to listen at, it's just staggering what the germans have done.. My dad's grandpa has died during an airraid on the factory he worked in.. All these sad stories push me to keep the memories alive.

  • @inferno511 Well I don't mean it's cool what happened I just mean that... welll...its kind of a privelage to live so close to a place where something significant happened.

  • @inferno511 I actually have all of them done, and am waiting for the tiger II to get here. I got the 100$ quite awhile ago but only recently wanted to build the Tiger II
