It'd be hell trying to complete a speed run on single player. The AI isn't reliable enough, it can only really be done on multiplayer.

@clarky241 agreed also use sheva if ur the leader reason she is slightly faster so u can do stuff like run a lil ahead and stuff my time is lil under 3 hours with ai XD im gonna do a 2 player co-op on saturday and hope to get under 2 hours easily preferred weaps use small arms and a rpg for bosses only 1 person should carry the rpg tho cuz there is no need for 2 people carrying a 1 hit kill for bosses

@MaNuZ0NER I'm not sure if you already know, but going back in Chapter select won't mess up your game or weapons at all. That's probably the best thing to do if you start running out of ammo, or something. :)

It doesn't matter what the rank is if you're doing a speed run.

it does matter. Only the best players do a speed run on Pro mode. 1 hit and your dead, plus more enemies on certain levels. If u do a speedrun on any difficuly below Pro mode, the game is easier and therefore easier to get quicker times. Try Pro mode then we can see who the real speedrun kings are. PS3 handle: MrScarface. Pro mode speedrun time 1:23:16

I mean the difference between difficulty levels if you're using infinite weapons. If you want the optimal time in ANY difficulty, the idea is to avoid damage. Difficulty only affects how much luck is involved, then.

Moreover, the time difference is not going to be much at all between difficulty levels if you're running the game with everything already unlocked. Even bosses on Pro tend to die after one shot with a rocket launcher.

tl;dr version, leaderboard running on Professional isn't any more skillful from playing Amateur. The game is a joke to speedrun, unless you're playing from a fresh game starting with absolutely nothing. THEN there is a difference between difficulty levels.

I think the same, they didn't think it out when you can go back to a single level fix your errors and it affects your overall, when its not in the same setting, I've been REing it up since I can't even remember, the only way to do a RE game is Beginning to End none stop using skill and a little to no glitches what-so-ever.

Well in chapter 2-3 thats where the difference comes from. On amateur and normal you can kill ndesu in 1 sprout and in on Vet and Pro you can only kill him in 2 sprouts. That gives Amateur and normal speedrunners a 50 seconds advantage over Pro runners so, in the end, Pro speedrun is a slower time. Also 5-2 is a nightmare to run in Pro because of the first room but in all other difficulties its alot easier.

Best Pro Run speed time on Xb360 is 57 Mins kinda makes your time look like Shit. So if it really matters that much, you might want to work harder.
