  • Do you have a tutorial of how to do the anime style animation appearance? Is this even being read by you cause I've got no response as of yet!

  • @blameist Sorry for not responding. I'm usually really slow getting back to people. I don't have a tutorial on this, unfortunately. I did a quick look and did not find a good one either, but basically Poser has a cartoon shader that is easy to apply. Getting a basic cartoon rendering in Poser is easy, but fine tuning it to look good takes trial and error. That part is tricky.

  • Is it possible to make photos look like anime in Poser 7? Or can't you put your own photos in the software and need a separate one in order to place photos an videos into it for making a scene?

  • @blameist Do you mean something like a green screen effect where you have CG combined with real video footage?

  • I've been thinking of getting this program though it's rather expensive to get the latest version I think I might be able to get Poser 7 is this a good idea for doing the kind of anime I would like to do similar in appearance to your work in the video? I'm also thinking of live computer animated scenes, but know that poser is limited how can it be done to appear realistic?

  • @blameist Well, this is kind of difficult to answer. I specifically use Poser, Carrara, and sometimes DAZ Studio to create anime inspired artwork and animation, but have not done anything that I would consider a finished product. So far, I have just been experimenting and learning how to create this style of animation. Poser is a good option, but before getting Poser, try DAZ Studio. It supports the same formats and has a free version.

  • @ZygoInferior Thank you!

  • Looks better than what Nexon has made. AMIRITE?

  • @Xenderkin I think that's a pretty good compliment. :-)

  • Looks like shes limping

  • @XxStorefrontx I didn't animate the part where she got hit in the knee with a baseball bat. ;-)

  • @animatigital lol nice

  • How amazing

  • as everybody said, there's a problem with a keyframe, I'm also starting so this was very helpfull. i notice also that both feet when they touxch the ground somethings wrong (I'm from argentina and i dont speak english very well. ) it looks like it bounces 2 or 3 times, and doesn't work very good.

Very good! keep up the great job!

  • The problem with this is that the animation looks like it's looped. (It IS looped, I know!) But what I'm trying to say is that it appears as if you're missing a frame. The re-loop looks a bit choppy, but in between, it looks very nice!

  • Good job.

The animation loop isn't that great, maybe there is a frame missing on the end or a frame duplicated..

The cell shaded works I guess. I'm trying to learn how do use it, since I'm new on 3D

    Greetings!

  • @ichi87 Thanks for the comment, ichi!

  • can u select toon and show facial hair on male characters.......

  • I don't know. I imagine that you would either model facial hair as a solid for toon rendering, or you could paint it on the face as texture.

  • her right leg breaks though her bit of cloth on her underwear. this would never happen

  • Yeah, but in this case it was not worth worrying about. Good eye.

  • thats not bad at all, good work. 5/5

  • Thanks! Still working at it.

  • Dude, this is the internet. Mocking nerds is pointless. You shall now be consumed by the nerd power.

  • Hey, man. You need to reply to

madichelp0's comment for him to see what you said. I'm the only one who got this message, and I know you were directing this at him. :-)

  • Manga is not the correct term. Manga refers to Japenes comics only, the term 'anime' is given to animation which is influenced by the manga gerne. So anime is more correct in this context.

  • it's not like anyone cares, other than NERDS

  • The animation style is still manga influenced.

  • The 'animate' style? People won't know what you're talking about, because animate means cartoons, virtuality, etc. etc. This one here, is called manga.

  • Did you think that is what I said? I said 'anime style'. Anime means Japanese animation. Sorry if I did not pronounce clearly enough. :)

  • Manga is the japanese word for Comic; not to be confused with "Manga Entertainment" which is a western distributer of Anime (which is why Anime is often miss-labeled as Manga).

As animatigital said, "Anime" is what the Japanese call cartoons.

  • Really nicely done!

I like the model and the cellshading...

It seems however that the cloth covering her upper legs only knows of her left (for us it's right) leg and ignores the other leg, going straight trough it...

I think you forgot to put that into the collisions properties?

I wouldn't be arrogant enough to think I am better though: I am noway near your skills yet with 3D and please keep up the good work!

    This inspired me greatly! :)

  • Thanks a lot, man!

I can't take credit for the model. Aiko3 is a standard model. The Poser paradigm revolves around using pre-made content. I put all of my work into the cell shading.

The dress problem is common for conforming clothes. There is no collision for conforming clothing, but there is for dynamic clothing.

  • How did you get the cel-shaded look in Poser?
