This wonderful song from this wonderful woman. The re-mix is crazy good. My best friend and I danced and danced. We knew this was a special voice. Then Whitney Happened. God Bless Your Soul, Whitney. We were graced by your gift. Your passing is hard to handle. I know you are singing for a much wiser crowd now. RIP Whitney Houston. I Thank God For You.
I still can't believe this beautiful talented woman is gone, she was my inspiration to sing, when i first saw her on the stage looking like a star and her wonderful voice, and stage precence im still having a hard time with this.... Rip Whitney, no one will ever compare to you.
PART 2 OF MY COMMENT Executive producer CLIVE DAVIS prides himself on his taste in songs, but for saddling such a great voice with such unremitting banality he ought to hang his head in shame.
there is a book i have "new book of rock lists" by Dave Marsh & James Bernard:chpt. "First & debuts" ONE OF THE MOST DISSSAPOINTING DEBUIT ALBUMS"Whitney Houston1985"As highly touted as any vocalist since Aretha, and with the Pedigree (MOM CISSY HOUSTON; AUNT DIONNE WARWICK) to encourage every shred of your belief, but her career track was set by the same middle-brow tastes that brought us Barry Manilow, a commercial triumph amidst an artistic catastrrophe. PART ONE OF MY COMMENT.
Whitney's voice graced TV just as I was experiencing so much upheaval in my life. Her voice made me smile and feel like life would go on. I'm not going to judge, we all have issues and Whitney was no different. Rest in peace. My loyalty has not died because you did. It will only grow stronger.
One of THE best tracks on the first album along with You Give Good Love and How WIll I know. THIS should have BEEN a single, poor Whitney. It's such a tragedy!... 48 years old and gone leaving behind a daughter and in the future maybe a grandmother. It's so cruel and non justified :-( xoxo
I'll never forget listening to this cassette over and over as a teen. Especially this song, which was my favorite (among Saving All My Love and You Give Good Love). What a beautiful woman with such a beautiful and powerful voice. Thank you, Whitney, for the legacy you've left behind. There's noone who has been able to touch you and what you can do with a high note yet, lol (Mariah comes close but not that close).
This and "You Give Good Love" are my two favorite songs from this album. I've been listening to all her albums since I heard the sad, surreal news of her passing tonight. Whitney Houston is the singular reason why I began singing as a 4 - 5 yr. old child. My heart is so very heavy tonight and I keep having these moments of deep crying. I miss her so much already. I ray her soul is at peace in Glory.
This song! lol I used to come home from school in the third grade and listen to this album. This song was my favorite beat. Not so much the words I wasnt really looking for anyone back then haha
MY FAVORITE FEMALE VOCALIST OF ALL TIME.....LOVE ALL OF THE TEMPO'S IN THIS SONG.... I WAS ONLY ABOUT 5 OR 6 WHEN THIS CAME OUT AND IM NOW 31, AND LOVE IT TILL THIS DAY!!! THIS IS CLASSIC 80'S !!!!!:-)
I HAD MY CRUSH WHEN THIS SONG CAME OUT OR MAYBE BEFORE , MAN WAS I SPRUNG ON THIS CAT.. I THINK OF YOU EVERY DAY. MY FRIEND AND MY FIRST LOVE.. LOV YA
loved sitting outside and dancing to this song at the pool all by myself without anyone knowing about it ... gaying out at 11 while swimmin and jammin to whitney .. gotta love 1985
This is amazing track from Whitney's legendary debut album. I love the sound, music, lyrics, everything. Whitney ruled the 80's (along with Madonna and Tina Turner). She's real Diva and the Queen of Voice
This was my Jam, love this one. This was the fun Whitney. Young and 17 someone for me.

It is one of my fave songs. It may not been one of her big hits but,it is a big one for me. A loss of a talented human being.
