  • The front 5 are AWFUL!! The back 8 are nice though, but when ringing all 12, they are very indistinct, and you can only really hear ther "bong" of the tenor properly, its just a cacophany of noise otherwhise!!

  • Anyway, I am coming here soon, and will try to get a clip of the proper 12!! What were they like to ring?

  • I'm pretty sure the flat 6th is being rung here instead of the 6th. Not usually recommended for ringing all twelve.

  • @IShallAdamYOURBrady

Yep, it was being rung instead of the regular 6th. I did point it out, but was told I was wrong. Several others also said that it wasn't the right one, but oh well...

  • @ItsAlexOmg There's a word which I think would fit these "others" quite well, which begins with "s" and ends with "hitters". They do sound like they'd be quite good with the correct combination of bells.

  • @ItsAlexOmg Unbelievable... how did people think that the 6b worked? Just proves people don't know what they're talking about... and never listen to their ringing. Next time give them the "bird" and say ring the right bloody bell!

  • @MartynMcFlyC Does the 6b have a different colour sally to the other ropes? I often find that can be helpful to distinguish them.

  • @simonbellringer

They usually do... They didn't here though.

  • @ItsAlexOmg The flat 6th rope is in the wrong place for the rope circle. It falls between the 5th and 6th. They are a superb 12 outside, but are disappointing inside cos of poor acoustics...

  • @sdgwebb

What do you mean? the 6b and 6 fall right next to each other.

  • @ItsAlexOmg If you look at them, they fall in the circle. Next to each other, but the flat 6th should hang to the left of the 6th....

  • @sdgwebb Ah. I see what you mean. I don't remember which we were using. It is possible we used the right one, though more people have said we weren't than were.

  • @ItsAlexOmg You were definitely using the flat 6th. Last time we were there, someone made the same mistake...

  • euuggghh God they sound like a back 8 and a front 4
