i know the deftones are a "new" band to some fans but they have been around for a long time with a particular sound and style that has evolved for nearly 2 decades. i have been a fan since '95. oh, and madonna signed them.

My mom used to get mad at my dad for playing music like the deftones and tool really loud with me while i was little in the late 90's. I never stopped listening to the deftones, they're one of my all time favorites, i've listened to them as long as i can remember. 7 words was probably the first rock song i remember hearing lol

@UndyingLoveToMyself That's what makes the Deftones so magical. Their music is hard and yet soft at the same time. Think about trying to explain their music to someone that's never heard them. It wouldn't be possible! Words alone cannot describe how awesome they are.
This has got to be te best song off this album "In my opionion" It has the surreal sound and clear message that change had back from white pony. I think change is the best deftones song by far because it stretches meaning and can fit any mood. I Like the surreal depressing sounds of deftones you can listen to it to make you hype and also to reflect on an emotional drain from the day. Its like being able to drive in your car and scream out the window.

@UndyingLoveToMyself That's what makes the Deftones so magical. Their music is hard and yet soft at the same time. Think about trying to explain their music to someone that's never heard them. It wouldn't be possible! Words alone cannot describe how awesome they are.

I love the part at 3:09. It comes back in with such emotion that you can feel it especially when you blast this on headphones or in your car.

This has got to be te best song off this album "In my opionion" It has the surreal sound and clear message that change had back from white pony. I think change is the best deftones song by far because it stretches meaning and can fit any mood. I Like the surreal depressing sounds of deftones you can listen to it to make you hype and also to reflect on an emotional drain from the day. Its like being able to drive in your car and scream out the window.

for anyone wondering the meaning of the song, just listen to the chorus. that pretty much gives it away. the whole diamond eyes album is just great. i havent listened to an album where i like all the songs in a long time. definately an album that is worth listening too :D

I just listened to their old songs and I can really say that they've gotten much better. Their old songs were okay but these ones are GOOD. My favourite songs in their new album:

3. Rocket Skates
4. Beauty School
Can't wait for the Eros album. Hope Chi gets well soon.

they're playing in vegas in october, im planning on going, been a deftones fan since 1995, this music speaks to me like no other band i've ever listened to. its like a velvety hand grenade in slow motion in my mind one song, and electric shrapnel at the razors edge the next, i love their diversity!
