i use a wireless network adapter and the same thing happens to me. i cant even do campaigns or anything without getting dc. its messed up and funny cuz i just got the adapter and xbox live like last week and it worked perfect. now it wont even let me last more than 20 minutes in xbox live. please help!!!

i get the same problem but instead of it going off for 30 seconds it sometimes last like a hour, and sometimes its right away, its random.

i HAVE THE "EXACT" SAME PROMBLEM! (mostly for COD4) i'll play, and i'll lose connection very soon. Especially when it's searching for a host, they'll chose me, and i become host and i automatcially lose connection. When i try to host in gears of war, i'll automatcially lose connection. COD4 is the game i really lose connection on. Please any1 help. Ill send u a pic of my set up on XBL if you need me to. my gamertag is RELENTLIS BEAST. (yes i got xbl vision)

but when im on the internet, it works very well.. i never lose connection.. but when i play xbox... and i lose connection, a symbol appears on the bottom of my monitor saying (network cable unplugged).. when the cable is ALways plugged in..

It turns out it was my router that was the problem

try plugging it into your modem to see if it works without the router

dude i got that same problem i do everything put my xbox close to the router i used the wire and still it come out you are desconnected from xbox live that the same proble i have :(

i found out what the problem is liten to this:I got 2 x box's 1 elite 1 normal i got the normal back from reparation long time ago as exra x box when something goes wrong so next thing happend my elite got fucked so i connected the other x box and i couldnt get online now i went back to the store and i got another elite x box and connected that one and this one worked with x box live and all so i guess its something in the x box itself u should let it get checked/repaired or soemthing

I had the same problem and I figured my problem out! I used to have my modem plug to my phone thing and the plug to my router. NOW I have my Modem connect to my router and then connect to my phone thingy. Then the disconnecting stopped. :)
