@Animosity2UandU The noahide laws have nothing to do with disclosing Jewish beliefs. They are still secret.
The noahide laws are intended to be imposed only on non-jews.
The word noahide means (to the jews) "non-jew". In their talmudic mythology jews are considered to be men, sons of adam. But non jews are "beasts in the form of men" and descended not from Adam but from Noah, the father of all drunkards, It's senseless I know, but great evils arise out of such ridiculous mythology.
thanks wow how did you learn Hebrew so fast. it may be that you are meant to be a teacher to Israel and the peoples. i certainly have learned alot from your videos.
Why is a desire to join the Jewish people so important? Isn't serving God by observing His Torah supposed to be the most important thing? It seems like joining the people is considered more important than observing His Torah. No offense intended.
@Alt0nsy It is not the most important thing. but torah and the jewish people happen to have an everlasting bond. if somebody loves torah but not the jewish people, there have to be a gravious misunderstanding of torah itself. the torah was given explicitly to the jewish people. they are the bride and groom - never to be devided. Besides that is "ahavat israel (the love of the israelite people) one of the core principles of the torah. why? because God himself loves them especially.

Have you ever though of going to Yeshiva and becoming a rabbi since like teaching?
I'm planning to convert in Israel this summer, G-d willing. In a way, I understand why there's discouragement on conversion. From where I live, 70% or 80% people in the conversion class are converting because of a b/f or g/f and they need to get married. When you have all these external factors involved, it's very hard to have a clear mind why you are converting. And we all know, a convert falls back to the old path after conversion is in a much worse position than not converting at all.
I understand the observation you've made... but I'm convinced that this situation is created by the average rabbi himself. What do I mean? Among all those who contact the rabbi for conversion, the ones who already have a relationship with a Jew are more likely to be accepted for the 'process.' Why? Because another Jew is involved; it's a fight against assimilation. Those not in a relationship are more likely to feel rejected and give up once turned down, because they're alone...
Community rabbis can be very busy. No telling how many calls for conversion they may get (and turn down) every year. The Rabbi picks the cases which he'll work on according to what he feels is most pressing. If a Jew is involved (b/c he's in a relationship with the potential convertess), then this will most likely take priority.... but this is a mistake. Halakha actually prohibits converting someone who has his/her eye on a Jew.
If the potential convert is single, he MUST be persistent.
The Jewish people are a wonderful people, despite all the imperfections. However, although the nations are NOT justified in THEIR 'reasons' for hating and persecuting Jews throughout history unto this very day, the only reason the Almighty allows it happen is because we, as a nation, are still struggling to accept Torah. When, as a nation, we return to following in His ways, and this includes heeding the rulings of the Mosaic Court, THEN we and the world will have lasting peace.
@omedyashar The comment. It moved me. You have a very high aspiration, and it's virtuous. You are right. If people, as well as a person or a government, return to the true teaching, then they won't be making man-made laws and misjudgment.
Which one of what? I'm not understanding what your comments are in reaction to. Perhaps YouTube isn't properly attaching your comments to the comments which you're referring to.
"Rambam quotes sanhedrin and says that a GOY (gentile) who observes shobbos, EVEN ON ANOTHER DAY of the week to make it like shobbos, that HE IS DESERVING OF EXECUTION."
This idea is NOT of G-D.
Yet you state the 7 Laws of Noah are the BASIC MINIMAL obligations upon the nations...
So why then does Maimonides teach otherwise...and even teaching DEATH to those who observe ANOTHER day as a Shabbat (probably refering to mainstream Christianity).
If you truly want to understand, watch this video:
*- Sabbath & Holiday Observance in the Laws of Noah -*
You may need to watch the video a few times before you understand.
IN SHORT:
Rambam writes very clearly that a goy who kept shabboth or made for himself any other day like shabboth is NOT to be killed for this violation. He is merely DESERVING of death, but is NOT to be killed... [continued]
...[continued]... In the same context of the law against a goy keeping shabboth, Rambam DISTINGUISHES between a goy and a ger toshav -- both of which are non-Israelites. "Gentile" is an inaccurate and over simplified translation of 'goy,' reflective of common misconceptions about Torah teachings.
A goy is a non-Israelite who has not accepted Torah-monotheism. A ger-toshav is a non-Israelite who does accept Torah-monotheism. A ger-toshav keeps the laws of Noah. A goy does not. [cont.]...
...[continued]... Rambam's reference to a goy keeping Shabbath is not a reference to Christianity. This is because in Hebrew Rambam uses the verb 'shabath' instead of the noun. In Jewish law, the verb refers to the ceasing of doing those actions which are forbidden on Shabbath. Christians never ceased from doing those actions. It is true that non-Biblical 'christian' holy days violate the laws of Noah, but this isn't what's referred to here by the word 'sabbath.'
Typical Christianity does violate the law against the nations creating for themselves their own holy days, however, this is not the same thing as ceasing from forbidden actions - lishboth. And the prohibition against creating holy days applies to all nations and religions, not just Christianity. Also for this, the person is NOT to be put to death, although he is DESERVING of death. And in the cases where the laws of Noah do require the death penalty, it is the NON-Israelite court that does so.
in Islam we are also forbidden to eat the meat of an animal before it is dead. this is one of the requirements that must be made before the animal can be cut into peices
What if an ancient old testament is found which talks about the The Great Nation to come from the Ishmaelites and God's prospective universal covenant with all human beings at that date and not the exclusive everlasting one with the Israelites as Judaism purports.
Will all Jews become Muslims? Without doubt Judaism has a big universal failure in keeping the pivotal ethnic group for mankinds' salvation as The Jewish group. Where as in Islam the most righteous amongst mankind becomes the pivot.
Thus moses, david, solomon, jesus and muhammed are the pivots. And in non-prophetic periods men best learned in the teachings and revelations brought about by the messengers become the central fountains of salvation for humanity.
1st, we shouldn't form beliefs based on things which aren't the reality. No such text has been found. Even if it were, how do we know that this text is trustworthy and not itself corrupted? We know are the principles and standards of care by which the traditional Torah text of the Jews was preserved. I don't know how the same could be known true for a totally unknown (totally speculative) and currently nonexistent Torah text.
2nd - the Torah as we have it now ALREADY contains a universal message and a universal covenant for all humankind; Unlike in Islam - Torah teaches that a person can be righteous before the Creator WITHOUT joining the people of Israel. Torah is more free in its offer of universal salvation.
(I prefer referring to Torah; "Judaism" is an inaccurate term.)
I don't think the Creator failed in His purpose for forming the nation of Israel. And if there is absolute determinism / fatalism, as often taught in Islam, it doesn't make sense to me that the Almighty would need to select a different people every hundred or thousand years, when the previous people he selected were no longer useful. Couldn't he get it right the first time? Seems like a set-up for confusion.
You must realize that Jews who reject Torah (knowingly disregard its commandments, no longer consider it applicable, who violate monotheism, etc...) they are cut-off from the historical nation of Israel. The only difference between these and other people is that Jews who were 'cut-off' repent by returning to the Torah commands as applicable to Israel, whereas a non-Israel who repents does so by upholding the Laws of Noah. It's his personal choice whether he becomes obligated as an Israelite.
It was not at all about absolute determinsm. God did select a group and said you will be my favoured group from Adam to the end of times. God selected groups throughout history of mankind existence and revealed message to them. As the Quran puts it every community was sent a message. there was a period before Jesus that the Israelites had many prophets sent to them and they had Gods' blessings above other humanbeings. But certainly God sends his revelation to whomever he wills.
My point didn't make sense to you because we're coming from two different understandings as to what it means that the Almighty uniquely selected the people of Israel. This would make a good topic for a new video.
Or is it meaning the same as god favours/chooses those who r good people, whos morals r correct.
I was debating the other day and said " regardless of religion if a person is good they will not sin", in reference to suicide bombers; only an evil person would interpret religion in such a way to justify this, a good person, muslim or not has god given values of empathy. Is this what u mean by chosen?
God blessed abraham right?..three religions and races of people stem from that tree. muslims(arabs/some africans), christians(global, but stemming from palestinian jews), and Jews(all people who's culture and religion is that of the sons of jacob). God loves everyone but he has a special connection with the decendants of Abraham because of the sacrifices(abram left his home, religion, friends, and almost sacricied his son for God). christ said his purpose was to open up conversion to gentiles
I dont agree with what this bloke is saying though "compell" others to live a certain way, thats why they demolish palestinian homes and ignore jewish homes without planning permission, assasinate and kidnap people in foreign lands, steal land, kill women and children, admitedly so do hamas.
Ignore Jewish homes without planning permission? Perhaps this is the case with some homes, just as it is the case with the homes of some Arabs (you don't have double standards do you? ;)
...but it is certainly not try that the secular 'Israeli' government ignores all Jewish homes which lack planning permission. I have seen multiple examples personally in my stay here in Israel of Jews expelled from their homes, or having their homes destroyed BY THE 'ISRAELI' GOVERNMENT!
token displacements of jews from land they stole from the arabs hardly counts, mainly the isreali government favours the jews and treats the arabs terribly.
The worst thing is uk, france and usa all helped isreal to get neuclear weapons and they worry about iran?
no government breaks more international laws than isreal.
i personally believe he does favour all three. I mean we all played key roles in history and we all have similar origins in the bible through abraham and his two sons.
Any one reading the torah during this universal age will easily perceive God's focus on only the israelities. It will not send any strong message to the hearts of non-israelites. Pick up a Quran on the other hand. It simply differentiates believers and non-believers and not the righteous amongst Israel and the non- righteous.
I asked you that because there is famous tradition that during the Mahdi's time the real authoritative tablets or old testament scriptures will be found. The ark of the covenant.
I'm encouraging submission ['islam'] to the Almighty's Will, according to the knowledge possessed by the individual, and that individuals should seek to increase in knowledge of the Almighty's Will.
Standard forms of Islam promotes the basic principles of 6 of the 7 laws of Noah, but not the 7 laws themselves. One of the 7 laws prohibits partaking of meat which was removed from an animal while it's still alive. I didn't notice this command in reading the Qur'an; Maybe I overlooked it.
I personally think it is possible for someone to believe in the Qur'an and also keep the laws of Noah (and not merely the principles of the laws).... but this is only possible if the person does not think that the Qur'an overrides the authority of Torah or the legislation of the Mosaic Court.
This would require them to understand Qur'an in light of Torah, instead of attempting to understand Torah in light of the Qur'an.
It's my understanding that such an approach is heresy in Islam.
I don't know what Jews you're referring to. Essentially all Jews acknolwedge paradise - the world to come, and punishment in the hereafter.
The only variations are with regard to what paradise ("heaven") is like, and what the punishment in the hereafter is like.
Torah allows for diversity of belief, on the condition that the belief does not violate a Torah-commandment (ie:polytheism), and so long as the particular belief does not prevent the individual from upholding a Torah-commandment.
The Jewish Bible does describe the afterlife, but most of the Jewish Bible concerns how we serve the Almighty out of love and reference in this life -- and discourages serving Him simply in order to receive reward.... BUT it is better to serve Him for reward rather than not serving Him at all. He is worthy of all worship whether or not we were to receive reward or punishment. But there is without doubt reward and punishment.
People also go through phases in their life as well; its difficult to judge a person based on a particular moment in their life; a person who might not be an observant Jew might in a few years reconnect with their religion and start practising.
100% But we're not required to nor authorized to presume how someone might possibly turn out in the future. We're only required to check how he is in his current state, before accepting him for conversion. And even IF there was an ulterior motive which did not become known to us, his conversion is still valid, according to Talmud law - presuming he accepted the fundamentals Torah, even if together with ulterior motives.
so is it considered converting if it is your birthright but you weren't raised in any particular faith at all and as an adult found out that you actually have strong Jewish ancestory? That's what happend to me so I have been investigating judaism for about a year now, and I agree with what I have learned. Maybe that's inharret. I feel like my family committed an injustice by not even giving us the opportunity to know who we are and where we come from.

...but it is certainly not try that the secular 'Israeli' government ignores all Jewish homes which lack planning permission.

The ark of the covenant.

so why don't you help Islam to spread so that people will abide within the 7 commands?

Why dont; Jews dont accept hell and paradise
faki49 3 years ago
I don't know what Jews you're referring to. Essentially all Jews acknolwedge paradise - the world to come, and punishment in the hereafter.
The only variations are with regard to what paradise ("heaven") is like, and what the punishment in the hereafter is like.
Torah allows for diversity of belief, on the condition that the belief does not violate a Torah-commandment (ie:polytheism), and so long as the particular belief does not prevent the individual from upholding a Torah-commandment.

Cause I was told its very hard to learn about the hereafter from the Hebrew Bible. Without hereafter description any religion would be inadequate.

The only known group of Jews in history who denied the afterlife were Saducees. This group no longer exists.
