I came from England!

It was funny, I had intended to travel from St Louis, to Chicago on the train, then find somewhere in Chicago to stay when I got there.

The train was 2 hours late, and then it got delayed by another hour on the way, so it meant the arrival in Chicago would not be till 11pm... So. I was looking out the train window, for a town en route, that looked big enough to have a hotel. and I ended up being in Joliet and found a hotel 5 mins from the train station that was cheap :D

New York is very popular and its a great city, Washington D.C has a ton of american history ( if your into that) and Miami has some great beaches, but America is a big place with alot of different cultures, find what intrest you.

to be honest - i hadnt planned on stopping at joliet either! - but the train was late and i hadnt booked myself in anywhere to stay in chicago... so i just looked out the window for a place that looked big enough to have a hotel! - and indeed i found a hotel within 5 mins walk of the train station - it had a good name for it - HOTEL ...! but people lived there too because it was very cheap to stay there. do you know it?

yep i liked st louis! - that was my 1st stop... what a day it was - - i went into st louis the day after i arrived- as i had arrived in the evening on the wednesday....

the thursday i went in... just happened to be the world series baseball final involving st louis's baseball team the cardinals.. the atmosphere in the city was buzzing! - even more so after the cardinals' victory later on that evening!

I think immigration is largely a good thing, but the multicultural policies of the government were badly thought out. Flag flying also demonstrates a loyalty to the nation a person comes from, but I don't believe there should be such loyalty. Flag flying at football games is ok, or a flg outside an embassy, but people take it too far, including those who have flags in their garden.
