That is awesome, you did a good thing by taking him in. I've always been told that hare cannot be raised as pet, but I think you've proved the experts wrong there by raising a happy, healthy, fine fella! So sad for you that he died though, he had a very good life.

I do not know how old a 10 year hare's life might be in human terms, but I would imagine he must have been a very old and wise hare. I have a baby jack rabbit 4 weeks old seniors at the high school trued to kill it she's fine and doin good had her a week today I love her she's doing great she's sitting on me right now
I actually cried watching that. I rescued a young hare from some cats last month, and had it fixed up, and it was doing unbelievably well, but then it had a stroke. So sad.
that hare was so lucky to have you. my 9 years old rabbit had to be put into sleep for severe health problems but the important thing is he and yours had a great life!

Fantastic Video! Hares make fabulous pets if you have lots of space. In the wild they only live about 4 years, so your hare was very very old. You must of really looked after him.
