hehe, they should have put a stig dummy in the car at least , you can clearly see there is no driver if you pause the video at the right frame, whilst the car moves. Also they shouldn't have used the crane cam shot at end, as that proves they knew it would fall off lol, would have been more believable with a movement cam or far shot at the end plunge. Other than that good gag, probably fooled alot of fans when first aired.

long story short: this is the first stig. the original. his identity was kept a secret. when someone leaked it, they had to "kill him off". they figured this would be a good way to get rid of him while still getting good ratings. they hired a new actor to play the new "white stig". ironically, his identity was also recently leaked. so now he's afraid they're going to "kill him off" as well

The reason why the Stig in this film is in a black suit is because this was the "OLD" Stig who worked for Top Gear. He revealed that he actually was the Stig, which violated his contract.
