The funny thing is the 2 year plus old omnia HD i8910 would beat them both put together sound quality and loudness both via speakers and headphones. to be honest i am disappointed with the galaxy sound, speakers and build of the phone. it feels and looks a piece of cheap plastic, well it actually is. It also doesn'thave stereo speakers, no DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound Engine) and no dolby 5.1 a part from that is awesome phone, but due to the sound perforance i'm not sure it's the phone for me

I've got an Omnia HD i8910 as well and tbh there ain't much phones with the sound quality speakers this one has. It's seriously great. I'm switching it out for a Galaxy S2 though. Simply because I hardly use the speakers anymore.

@cheechwizzard101 That;s also a problem for me. I have Omnia HD and I like watching movies on it. Speaker on the bottom side isn't good idea - it would be hidden when you put phone on the bed or desk. There are two missing things in GT-I9100:

1) Stereo speakers

2) Camera button

I'm also worried about camera. I guess it would get scratched cause it;s not blocked by anything.

@RicoBiker93 the I8910 is great for movies. I tried my friends old galaxy S and was surprised at how poor the speakers and headphone loudness and quality was. It seemed very plasticy and brittle as well. I also agree with the camera button on the i8910. one push and the camera switches on and having a button makes it feel like you're using a real camera and not a phone.

Samsung should of made a Omnia HD3 and 4 imo...

@iGhost It has pretty damn good and clear speakers actually. I compared it to the HTC Desire and the clarity, volume and crispness of the sound from the Galaxy S2 wiped the floor with the Desire, will have to try the Sensation in person to see how much it's improved on the Desire sound wise though

@ipoddropshipcom Its hard to prove it on camera due to me only using a Panasonic TZ10, the Samsung is louder with more bass and get hear more highs and lows, the Sensation can get a little tinny on Metal music :( (my fave) but its pretty decent.

I can't comment on clarity as I haven't heard neither in person, and judging the audio quality through a webcam is kind of pointless.

One thing is certain - the S2 is louder. Is that good or bad? I'll wait for GSMArena and their comprehensive audio tests to judge on that. I prefer a clean sound to a loud distorted one.

4) You mean the earphones. The S2 comes with in-ear-earphones. So no noise goes outside if you have the plugges in. If on max vol, plugges,can hear them in quiete places.

Also iOS doesn't have tons of backgroung apps running. Even more, iPhone uses fast MLC NAND, while Android phones - slow microSD cards and eMMC NAND.

And I never said, that numbers have a metter. Satio camera doesn't make better pictures, since CMOS sensor and Image Processor in Satio's camera module are outdated.
