This is more than just about abortion, this is about birth control, infertility, and the right for a mother to chose. We should not tell one couple they cannot prevent pregnancy by getting an IUD, and another couple they cannot have a baby through IVF. And what about the mother of 4 who has cancer, but cannot accept life saving chemotherapy because it will miscarry her 3 week old fetus? Do we have the right to kill a mother for a fetus that may not even make it to term??

Conception: the process of becoming pregnant involving fertilization (the process of union of two gamets - ova & sperm), implantation or both.

Defining a person, no different from defining inheritance, is needed to keep many laws enforceable.

Say you WANT A baby- and a robber stabs you and kills your 9 month old baby- then what? You'd be screaming for the death penalty right? At least for him/her to rot in jail forever... Today- all he/she did was stab "you" and does 3-6 months in jail "maybe" for assault!

I do want children someday, but I take the Pill because I know I can't afford to have any right now. This bill will take away my right to plan for the family I want in the future.

Mistakes happen. Telling people to just be celibate doesn't work.  Condoms rip. And women get raped. This amendment takes away our backup plan for when those happen and takes away our right to decide when to have a family. I am voting N-O.
