I saw Bob Marley in the list....that's what I'm talking bout...Bob Marley is the MAN...EVEN AFTER SO LONG...The only man to influence the world universally for decades from Zion....!!!Big Up Jamaica...!!!!
well... the ns-10's have a flat mid sound... no bass, and no high frequencies...:-s (if you're mix on some of those, you'll get, the "discosmile fx" on your project) Witch means, that you boost up the bass and high freq.s, and it looks like a smile on the graph. eq! :-s
Genelec has the best translating.
the 1031a is a bit expensive... But you can trust on them! It depends how much money you have for a monitor! The KRK-s are very good too! :) if you don't belive, just listen to a few of them!
ns 10 is old sound... you can mix 80´s music with it... today the hs80 m might fit better... they are the follow ups... but i think krk couldn´t beat emes or vostex in quality... but its all a question of the own taste...
I've got the Rokit Powered 6 G2 units (those red ones you see at GC). The specs say that the cone is a "Glass Aramid Composite" (whatever that is). They unfortunately do not list what the voice coil is made from.
These list for $400 each. I got them on sale for $150 each though.
You'll still need some smaller speakers to test on as well since the bass response is almost a little too good on the KRKs, but they're great in the 6 to 8" woofer range of monitors.
One is not necessarily better than the other. They are different from one another and it would depend on your application for them as to which is better for you. The Rokit series (5, 6, & 8) are "powered" meaning they have amplifiers built into them. The R6 is "passive", meaning it does not have a built in amplifier.
The KRK rp6 changed my life!
I Love those speakers

This will sound very stupid, but who made the KRK speaker? Anyone? I want to have it, but price is still too high for me even the 4 series.....

All KRK speakers are made by KRK Systems.

Which monitors are better, R6 or the rokit 6? They have the same frequency response and look similar. The rokit 6 is more expensive.
