  • Consistently good (your vids).

  • Another great video Greg! Keep up the good work!!!

  • great video makes me want to go split some cedar! tasty lookin dawgz

  • @JimboJitsu Thank you sir!

  • @sd4547 You are most welcome, you may get me trying this yet. I do have a couple down cedar trees I could probably make a million planks. Would be nice if you could do some plank demo at the Youtube round up. Got me thinking that would be real nice having different Youtube BBQ demo's going on. Maybe we could get Weber to sponsor it?

  • @JimboJitsu I'd be honored to do a planking demo. A sponsor is a really good idea!

  • I'm sure Jimmy would be pleased with your adaptation to his delicious recipe Greg. I know it made my mouth water. Your cooking method really helps keep the casing intact even better than indoors in a fry pan. A neat smoke/roast grilling story. Thank you again Greg for sharing with all of us.

  • @PlankGrillMaster Thank you Larry. I have to tell you, that I never would have started experimenting with planking like I've been doing until I purchased one of your sets. Having a big box of planks on hand makes it really easy to try these type of cooks. It's really fun and has added another dimension to my outdoor cooks.

  • That looked sooo good! Reminds me of summer time. I just ran out of planks so the discount code come at a perfect time...again :)

  • @ItsGoodCookin Thank you buddy! Yeah man! Buy some planks!!! Spring will be here before you know it. Then you can come out of retirement and make a cooking vid!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love a good Chicago dog. The planking sounds like a great idea. I think I know what I'm cooking for the Superbowl!

  • @piperevival Planking really rocks a sausage. If you can find a natural cased Nathan, it's a MUST TRY!

  • Yum, I can find the sport peppers here in Texas but not the poppy seed buns. I've made fresh Italian sausage, I need to try my hand at Polish. I love a good Polish sausage.

  • @tdjtx Thanks Tom. I've contemplated making sausage someday, but I haven't given it a shot yet.

  • Looks good guys!!!

  • @sjporr Thank you!

  • Awesome sausage, and well dressed! Even with the vast verity of mustard's available, good old American yellow mustard still hits the spot.

  • @KasCooks Thank you. I didn't want to drift too far away from the original. Didn't want hate mail!

  • Can't wait to try this! So what's the story behind the peppers?

  • @thicon7 I couldn't find them anywhere, so I found a hotdog joint that served Chicago style dogs. Called them up and asked them if they would sell me a few. They told me to come in and they just gave me a bunch. Pretty cool... They're just pickled Sorranos so I may try and make my own.

  • Not one thing you cook looks bad!!!! Nice job as always and now im hungry again....lol

  • @justanoob2835 LOL! Thank you for check'n it out. Much appreciated!

  • This is a Hat Trick cook for sure.

Your take on a classic, Nature's Choice Planks and the Craycort grates.

    Bravo - Great Lookin' Sandwich!!

  • @TangoSpiceCompany Thank you! I planned on mentioning that even Twinkies taste good planked, but I had a brain fart...

  • mmmmmmmmmmm I miss chicago looks awsome

  • @murdaman702 Thank you. This was just a humble tribute to their classic.

  • those are delicous iither ways . i think jimmy would be proud!

  • @elrabbitsbbq Thanks for stopping by. I hope I did Jimmy proud! Cheers man!

  • im 13 miles from maxwell st

food in cali never taste as good here...true story!

    nice try tho :)

    thumbs up for trying...hehe

  • @R6bbie I'll give you that. Hard to beat the Mexi here though brother! Ride-on!

  • @sd4547 the mexi food better taste great in SD, after all you live a block away from mexico :)

all jokes aside, thanks for all the videos you put out...can't wait for the next one!

i still have not tried planking, are those one time use only? what is average cost per plank?

  • @R6bbie You can use them for than one time. The problem is though the next cook won't be as flavorful with the smoke. They're pretty inexpensive so I just burn the used ones in my fire pit. On Larry's website you can get 30 of these 6x12 planks with the 10% discount for $30.00.

  • @sd4547 do you know if that is that $30 shipped?

  • @R6bbie That doesn't include shipping. He's out of South Dakota, so I don't think it would be too much to Chicago though.

  • I have never cooked on cedar planks... but i cook on a birch and hickory fire at least 2 times a week. I will try the cedar plank and see how it turns out. The cedar i have is red cedar, which i use for my bow drill fire starting. Is that what you were using? It looked like white cedar or the outside of red cedar. Thanks for sharing,it looked delicious.

  • @HillbillysNdaBush Some of the planks are pretty red, so I'm guessing that's what it is. Hard core my friend! Starting your fires with a bow!

  • looks great.

  • @marcelstjean Thank you. It was good stuff!

  • Wow,that looked great!!! When you put those onions on it my tounge about slapped me silly :) Huge thumbs up buddy!!!

  • @ammohead73 Thanks brother. You're like me. Can't resist grilled onions!

  • Nice looking sausage, what flavors do the cedar planks add and can they be reused?

  • @amatureBBQer The cedar adds a very mellow, slightly sweet smokey flavor. You can reuse them if they're not too burned through.

  • Planking is the new, revolutionary way to cook outdoors! My stack of Nature's choice planks is shrinking fast… I think Polish sausage is on the agenda soon, these look GUUUD!

  • @SmokeyGoodness Yeah, it's funny how fast one of those big boxes goes. This plank was out of a box I ordered last week. I was thinking the first box would have lasted way longer! Thanks for check'n it out.

  • I swear at the beginning of these newer videos you look EXACTLY like the guy from the weather channel named Jim Cantore or whatever his name is LOL

  • @SupaFlyFatGuy859 A buddy told me I looked like Jim Row from Dirty Jobs... Could be worse I guess... Marty Feldman or something!

  • @sd4547 LOL you have got to google Jim Cantore and see for yourself... Yall are twins lol

  • @SupaFlyFatGuy859 Too funny! I think his honker is a tad bigger than mine, but you're right. We do look related!!

  • Man Greg that looks awesome I need to make some of them Maybe tomorrow evening Thanks for sharing buddy

  • @2024JayZ Thanks Jason. How'd that pork roast turn out?

  • @sd4547 Thanks Greg everything turned out great You have helped me out a lot You are a true friend :)

  • Those look absolutely amazing!! I love cooking on Cedar Planks!! Great Job and thanks for sharing!!

  • @GrillingNetwork Thank you Allen. As you know, planking is fun stuff!

  • nice video. Could you plank hamburgers too?

  • @jeffxl12 Thanks for watching Jeff. Yeah! You can plank burgers. Planking is really easy and works great on quick cooks.
