@BarefootArizona It's probably just the stock exhaust with the STS turbo kit installed. The STS kit removes the muffler and replaces it with the turbo so it has no muffler anymore which is why it sounds like that.

Also it's not just 1st gens that have rust problems -- some 2nd gens owners are already reporting that their trucks have frame rust as well, although not enough time has passed for them to get really bad yet. I'm glad I don't live in the salt belt.

@Gazlay43 With a waste gate just like any other turbo kit. Every STS kit I've seen has been a rear mount setup that basically replaces the muffler in the back. There's a waste gate actuator that opens a valve which allows some exhaust to bypass the turbo and keep it under control. Although, I would think a turbo mounted at the back of the exhaust on an offroad truck wouldn't be a good idea since it'd be sucking up a lot of dirt.

It's a rear-mount turbo kit by Squires turbo systems. The truck in the vid is, or at least was the owners (Rick Squires). I believe it was running 9 psi when they filmed that vid. He later added water/methanol injection, and took it to 12psi. And f.y.i. The prick who posted this vid DOES NOT OWN THE TRUCK.

It's 4x4. but he wasn't in 4wd in the video. You can see the transfer case on the installation pics at the ststurbo website. They only went to 12psi with water/methanol. I ran 16psi with race gas, and what a difference compared to 5psi (thats what the wastegate is set at when you get the kit), or even the 12psi they ran.
