At the time, 1979, I was a "True believer" and thought what I'd done was good. It took me years to wake up, and realize what he's saying. Once I did---I left Scientology, escaping out in 2000.

I've been speaking out, ever since, and they've been attacking me, trying to slime my name, both on the net, and in my neighborhood. Thankfully, people can see who they *really* are.

This is true-----I was there in 1979,and Milte Wolfe of the Scientology Guardian's Office told me: "We have to handle Richard Tinney--the City Commissioner, running for Mayor of Clearwater.

Since we've come here on a lie, and his entire position is "Save Sparkling Clearwater, Stamp out Scientology"...we can't handle him, we need you to.

This was all new to me, but I agreed. I went to meetings in Clearwater, talked to people, and as a result, he was voted OUT in a landslide.
