@GardenGuy06 I was under the impression that the moss would persist (depending on where you live) all year around and that is why they are wanting to kill it. If it is just going to die out over the summer, I don't understand why people want to kill it if it is just going to die in a few months anyway.
The spores live in the soil and they multiply again when conditions are right. By having a healthier lawn you can prevent the conditions that make it easy for them to return.
I would just leave the lawn as moss and get rid of the grass. No mowing.

Good idea until summer... when it dies out and you have bare dirt. If you don't like grass you can always try a drought tolerant groundcover.

why so negativ to moss. just make a moss garden. the climate is perfect for it there. I would be more interested in "GrassOut"
