I just read cities of the plain... Apparently in film production too. Your analysis of ncfom legitimately questions how far our suspension of disbelief...the sudden plot death of moss and uncertain presence of chigur in the room..were problematic to say the least, love the Burwell soundtrack at the end of your video..by the way forgive my 3 hour literary criticism audio.
@douglassmcann I really couldn't get into the exaggerated movement of the movie, the slow pace, and the fact that they turned a psychopath into a gibberish speaking weirdo. Not too frightening a guy for me, the way they wrote him, especially since he was supposed to be the whole movie. Too much thrown in too short a span of time and they missed the purpose of the book. Thank you for your commentary.
I understand you're opinion but I personally liked this movie. Not a great movie but I liked it. I love Tommy lee jones voice over intro and that this movie has more than just the surface.
@webermowdown That's fine. I appreciate your opinion. People take my knocks against movies as knocks against them. I appreciate a nice, well thought out, honest, and mature opinion. Thank you again.
The only reason why I watched this video was so I could see the clips of the awesome movie which I am now going to have to re-rent and watch it again for Javier Bardem's sake.
wow dude your review of this film sucks fucking cock--you new york wop kyke faggot. So basically you didn't understand the film and you make a review talking for 10 minutes about how and why you dont get it? GO fuck yourself you fucking retard. Watch Crank if you don't like films like this you dumb fuck.
@videonerd250 Not all of it was loud. Basically, my problem with the movie was there were elements in the book it didn't touch up on: i.e. Tommy Lee Jones' character's guilt that stemmed from his duty in WWII. Tommy Lee was barely in the movie and the movie was supposed to be about him and his dilemma as his career winded down to its end. That sort of got thrown in there while we watched the killer track Luelen only so they could meet once and that's it.
@videonerd250 I just didn't appreciate elements from the book that were missed: i.e. Tommy Lee Jones' character's guilt that stems from his experience in WWII. There was also his retirement that was the main focus of the book that was thrown in there. This movie was involved too deeply in two characters that only met once and ultimately had their conflict left unresolved seeing as how Luelen was killed by gangsters. There are other issues, but either way, thank you for the comment.
That's quite alright. You don't have to agree with me. I thought he did a good job, but the script left me flat. If you got more out of it than I did, you're probably a wiser person than I.
How can there be plot holes? The Mexican mob made off with the money after they tracked Llewelyn with a tracking device similar to what Chigurh had. Chigurh fails to retrieve the money, and Bell fails to catch him. Its really not that hard to understand. just because its not a generic thriller plot doesn't mean the narrative is full of holes. This is a terrible review and you are very unfunny.
