  • @DJSexLeopard lol Im going to take a wild guess and say your a fucking civilan if so go fuck yourself.

  • Dam ACU's are lame bring back woodland that shit looks more grunty.

  • @thatdude734

Down range is the unit your assigned after the reception battalion, since your going to Ft. benning, where i was at. u'll be at jonston hall, unless they finished building the new reception center down the road from it.

but any way. it's fun, just expect to get yelled at, and no one to care about you. lol other than that it's pretty cool, oh and be sure you practice a 10 P.m to 5 A.M sleep schedule a month prior to leavin

  • "down range": going from the in-process center where it seems like a picnic compared to going "down range" where hell awaits. it's also where you go to become a man and your heart stops pumping moms cherry kool-aid and pumps real american blood worthy of shedding for this country. the ds will know who you quitters are the first day you're there. good luck Echo 2/58 will always rule

  • Heard that Infantry training is much harder than Basic

  • Wait they came to 30AG and got you in buses? WTF We marched. Damn things change for you young'uns

  • Delta 1-19 2002

  • I graduated from the battalion right across from 1-50. 2-58 "House of Pain" Echo company back in '08.

  • Good ol fart benning, what happened to DS Lesher, shorter and Thompson?

  • Why were you wearing LBV's and ALICE gear?? I thought it was way outdated by '06.

  • @xXCoUnTeRxStRiKeXx yes, and thats why they are used in OSUT and BCT. 8-)

  • LOL just find it funny that its called US Marines Infantry .Meaning your part of navy

  • for infantry whats the difference between 11B and 11X

  • @AmericanGMS 11X is what you enlist as, once you get to Basic training the Drill Sergeants will decide whether you are a 11B or 11C, 11C is mortar men, and 11B is infantry

  • @AmericanGMS 11B is Airborne and in 11X you dont get to jump from airplanes

  • @bd341001 uh no... get your shit straight

  • @bd341001 11X is what you enlist as and when your in OSUT they choose whether youll be 11B or 11C

  • Nice i love your ending.

  • Ha I was A 1/50.

  • Your DS's recorded this crap and gave it to you?

    POGUES.

  • @pogisiG comon good motivation music lol

  • i bet the gas they use in the chambers tastes sweeter in the marines than it does in the army

  • i still want to join the army in my opinion i think the army is the best their is

  • @Danny21531

the training the army get's is more extensive than the marines.

also the gear is latest technology availible.

  • @xwqcrusader marines just think there better

  • @Danny21531 hell yeah bro i leave for army basic in march 11x infanrty at fort benning

  • @Danny21531 Obviously never hear dof the marines or rangers then

  • @kingewan the rangers are part of the army......

  • @Danny21531 I'm joining the army as well, however no disrespect to the army but I believe the Marines are better they have harder training quite a bit harder.

  • @MegaSlushy

They don't have better training where it counts. The army has a far better combat record through history. The marines have a lot of exaggerations, lies, and outright bullshit propping up their image.

  • @Danny21531 HOOAH

  • @Danny21531 Good for you. If you have any Questions I would be happy to answer. I was in for 3 years in the Infantry.

  • is 25 too old to join the army infantry?

  • @kingheinz57 no

  • @kingheinz57 Nope, under the age of 39

  • @kingheinz57

When i was in basic training for infantry we had a 42 year old in there with us, he had half his teeth and could barely talk straight lol, we called him grandpa

  • i hear they have 15 mile runs at 4-6 mph and 25 mile runs w/ 80 pounds of gear being carried up an incline at a steady pace too. is it true

  • @joedirtrulz8 Not runs, marches.

  • YAAY they still have AT-4s :D

    ...those are AT-4s right?

  • Bravo 2-58 Fuck The World

  • Went through boot camp/ait at the old harmony church area. If you ask me, the military has gotten too soft when it comes to boot camp. the tougher it is, the more pride and discipline you wind up with. The old harmony church barracks had common showers, and I remember seeing about 10 different old colors of chipped paint. Showed the age of the buildings. Lots of soldiers went through that place.

  • C co 2/19 Hooooooah!!!

  • It's fun watching privates in reception. They think life couldn't get any worse.. HAHAHAHAHA! wait until you go down range mother fuckers!!

  • @jakems19

Down Range is so much easier, You get to do shit, and keep your mind off of things

  • @jakems19 wat does Down Range mean?

Some companies Train with the M16 and some with the M4, Just Depends Which unit has the latest Upgrades lol.

  • Shipping out aug. 25th Hoah!

  • @kicksandchicks1 are you going active or reserve?

  • wtf, we didnt get a bus. we had to walk.

  • @swordmaster1991 haha, so did I, but i was in A 2/54 for basic, and taking a bus would be almost pointless. Still, it sucked making the hump with everything in my arms.

  • @hernandot3 holy shit, i was in A 2/54 too. 2nd platoon.

  • @swordmaster1991 What was your grad date bro? I finished August 08.

  • @hernandot3 i was suppose to be April 2010 but i got injured and discharged.

  • omfg they are still there. that was my company in basic

  • i didnt notice at the time but we actualy went to basic together. lol army is such small world. i ended up in korea after that and ran into a buddy from high school. found a buddy from high school in iraq, ran into buddy from basic in kuwait. countless other episodes of things like this happening

  • @gdaddy870 I was in 1st platoon. SDS Parker.

  • I guess I'm the latest arriving to benning... 20100903..

  • @HLRT See you there: 20100907

  • im planning on joining the army for infantry, but i keep wondering: after OSUT, what are my actual chances of being deployed to places in the middle east? because i dont want to go through infantry training, and end up somewhere where all of my training isnt even required, if that makes sense. also, can you go to OSUT and then airborne school upon OSUT graduation?

    thanks

  • @titansoccer9412 You may have to apply for it or something, I got airborne in my contract and after OSUT I go straight to Airborne

  • @Snapshot34 ok thank you and good luck to you

  • 20100706 11X Hoping for Rangers or Sniper.

  • I'll be there also I leave for benning 20100428. 11x.

  • 20100505 11x!

  • I love how this slideshow shows plenty of DS's yelling at the recruits.

  • USMC PARIS ISLAND MIKE CO. OOHRAH

  • in two years i want to join but im so scared of how hard the basic will be can someone tell me how hard it is and like how much you have to run and what time you wake up.

  • @killenair95 .... Wake up 0415! What type of MOS did you have in mind? If you go infantry, MP, Cav, etc, your basic training is called OSUT. Basic training and OSUT are not that hard if you can pay attn and follow instructions. Its your battle buddies that will make you wanna tie a noose around your neck!!!!

  • Well if you are worried about all that then you probably shouldn't join. The Army isn't for you. You run a lot. If you are over 200 pounds then you shouldn't join. If you are lazy kid who plays xbox all day then sleeps in till 2PM then you shouldn't join either. You should join the Air Force. Also dont do the Airborne or Ranger contract cause if you think Basic was hard, Airborne School and Ranger Indoctrination will make basic look like 1st grade.

  • u should leave the over 200pnds out im 6'2 225 pnds but my pt scores were 2 miles in 13:45 87 pushups and 76 situps i leave for benning 20100517

  • damn dude you get there right after me. You must be a fuckin beast them man 200lbs pumpin out 87 in 2 mins. Not bad. Ill be there with you though bro. 11x infantry baby!

  • @killenair95

if your worried about things like that then its not for you

  • @Killenair95 and if you really want to be in the army, then suck it up and do it. make sure you train beforehand, like run, do push ups, sit ups core work etc. It is important because if you are in shape going into training it is a hell of a lot easier.

Its still hard and you have to suck it up, and that's what being in the army is about, sucking it up and being a man.

  • How would the training from the Army compare to that of the Marines?

  • All depends. Non-OSUT training (aka 11B/ 11C) would probably be pretty sad by comparison. Then again all marines are being trained as riflemen first.

  • 11B and 11C has OSUT training

  • Really depends on what you do. Army Basic is easier compared to marine basic. UNLESS you go Infantry(and I guess Cav scout). In that case Army is gonna be harder.

If you aint Infantry, you aint shit

  • HOOAH

  • Fort Benning BCT for 11B and 11C is comparable to the USMC Recruit Training. If you go to Benning for 11B prepared to get your ass chewed. Now if you go to Fort Jackson for your BCT well then expect BCT to be like High School where you get pampered.

  • hell ya i ship to Benning for 11x 20100505 Fuckin Cinco De Mayo

  • thats my birthday

  • lol sweet man. I really dont know how im gonna be able to wait that fuckin long though. 2 damn months.

  • i leave 2-02-2010 cant wait

  • Comment removed

  • how long is infantry school?

  • Well depends on 11B or 11C, also both are OSUT so you do basic and AIT in one. It's a total of 15-16 weeks depending on which one you pick. (Includes basic and 11c is 1 week longer.)

  • i hate picture videos!

  • Can i go 11B and then go airborne at any time i choose?

  • i think you can apply to after basic, unless it's in your contract before you sign.

  • Nope, unless you get it in your contract at MEPS before you come over. Otherwise you better have some high PT scores.

  • just came back from benning dam crazy experiance, for any1 joining the army go infantry best way to start.

  • Man these guys are my Hero's!! I Signed 4yrs 11X and Airborne into my contract!!! Leave in January(19th)... Thanks for serving brother!

  • All at Ft. Benning also!

  • Those were winter jackets.

  • were they drunk when they issued the uniforms? y are they wearing ACU's, with BDU jackets?

  • Why aare you such a prick. It's all the same shit anyways. Shut the fuck up. No one wants to hear your stupid shit about BDUs and ACUs, asshole. Watch what the fuck you say, prick.

  • Jagoff

  • 4:34 this guy has a long head!!

  • 30th AG will ruin your life!!!!

  • Prior service barracks man.

  • You dick! What service did you come from? when I got in I saw all those Navy and Air Force boys, and 1 girl, leave as soon as we were sent to our barracks.

  • Nope, see I switched my MOS from 45B (Smalls Arms Repair) to 11B and that's where I got to stay. And your right a lot of them were from the Navy and Air Force. Had a few marines too.

  • yall had it easy then huh? with passes every week end? I had a navy Sergeant in my co. back at Benning, only saw him at ranges.

  • Nah, that was only for 30th AG, we were actually pushed into week 6 of OSUT, and I got an extra week because they slid me into a 11C company, so it wasn't all great. And no I didn't get any special treatment after 30th, if anything my DS made an example of me every chance he got.

  • OSUT (One Station Unit Training) is for combat MOSs. Basic training is an 8 or 9 week course (at least it was back in '02). Every other MOS goes to AIT (Advanced Individual Training) afterwards for their respective "job". Since combat requires no paper pushing techniques (unless you have somehow managed to learn to disembowel people with a ream of paper) combat occupations continue with their "basic" training for the full 13 or so weeks. After that many have Ranger or airborne school upon grad.

  • nobody goes right from basic to Ranger school, some go to RIP right out but never Ranger school

  • Correct gruntsnpr. Been out for too long I guess. I meant RIP. Airborne too.

  • What exactly is RIP, I've still never been given the full explanation, I know what it stands for but what is it?

  • It is a course you need to pass to get into ranger battalion, when I went it was three weeks long of pretty much getting smoked and ran into the ground the whole time but I heard they changed the length I am not really sure what it is now

  • States training is so sketchy

  • brought back memories, I graduated C 1/50 in Sept 04.

  • while your training in like basic training do you still get paid for that time?

  • yes you do... i think as E1...not sure though...but you do get paid!

  • thank youu

  • you get paid by what rank you are

  • us marines train for 2 months? no wonder why theres so much friendly fire at us

  • the marines train for 3 months army trains for 2 and half months

  • aint that a bit bad tho? coz our infantry train for 6 months and our marines train for 8 months

im not sayin we're better than urs but the facts are

  • 3 months for boot camp, if the marine is infantry they then go to the infantry training battalion for 2 more months.

  • british marines train for 8 months plus

  • british Marines bootcamp is not 8 months, and it is not the same intensity level as USMC boot camp.

  • Army infantry osut is 14 weeks. 2 longer than marine corps boot camp.

  • Still not that much, british line infantry train for 26, airborne 28 and marines do 32.

  • I'M only talking about boot camp you retard

  • is the 2/19 still active at Benning?

  • It was when I was there, but that was almost 3 years ago.

  • Army?

  • it was a year ago too.

  • it still their i was their 6 months ago foxtrot 1/19 punisher

  • yaaa 2/19 is still active the rock of chickamauga haha i just graduated from delta 2/19 august 28th and i graduated airborne school last week

  • dang, u guys had a sds in every platoon i only had one for the entire battery.

  • dumb ass yanks

  • dumb ass whatever country your from.

  • 11B is infantry they have what is called OSUT. one station unit training, 15 weeks of straight combat training at ft. benning other jobs (mos) have 9 week basic then ait (adv. individual training)

  • fort benning is freakin awesome too

the most fun i ever had

  • Is there a difference between Infantry basic training and regular basic training?

  • every soilder goes through basic training but only infantryman go through infantry training

  • I can't believe those worthless Joes got name plates on their hats. WTF! I didn't get mine 'til I was at JFK SWC. Treating these noobs like babies. What a joke! Pack them in that cattle truck and drive fast!

  • whoa needles what kind of training is that?? i was goin to join but im kinda iffy about it now
