Many were atheists but have turned to Intelligent Design because of the flaws in evolution, and how it contradicts all other sciences.

These were the top Physicists, Chemists, Astronomers, Quantum Theorists etc. I do not know all personally but have gone to meetings in an auditorium where I met a lot of them. Many were atheists but have turned to Intelligent Design because of the flaws in evolution, and how it contradicts all other sciences.

Its hard to shed beliefs you are indoctrinated into as a child, especially when you have sentimental attachments to them. And it has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with chemistry. So far the level of confidence at the LHC is 3 sigma. Next year they gonna measure on and, provided their results are reproducible, will reach 5 sigma. At which point they will say Eureka.
