  • Cool!

  • Mako shark are not defenseless (defenceless). If they decide to get in the boat with you, which they are well known for doing, somebody (usually the deckhand or the angler), has a good chance of dying. Hook 'em, tag em, thank them for the fight. And thank them for not killing you for sport. And tip your Captain and deckhands well, for not cutting the shark off as soon as it was hooked.

  • Yes OJ094 but there are good shark information sites on the net too. try the likesharks site. type likesharks into google and its like the 9th or 10th one.

  • Makos are the new Marlins.

  • "You need a picture a dat!"

    "That's a fawkin monsta!"

  • @12salem

How about this Slick, why don't you come on a trip with us and when a shark swims up to the boat, you go in. Maybe we'll video it for youtube so we can show everyone that you're not just talk.

  • @12salem You probally havent even caught a mako before these guys did good makos are hard to real in and its fun to fight it was fun about getting yourself killed dont listen to this fag igomako1 nice fish

  • @jbhockeyplayer22 Your right I have never caught a mako and never will. I prefer to interact with animals rather than harm them. What would you like a pic of a great white? a Tiger ? Ive got those, I'll get you a pic of a Mako this summer. Im not a coward I dont hurt animals, I take pictures of them. Only cowards hurt animals

  • @12salem im sure you swim with makos everyday ...you fuckin dumb ass a mako would tear your fake jamaican ass up and drink your blood like a bottle of red stripe you fuckin batty boyy

  • I go shark fishing. I go off of block island Rhode Island and ive only caught 2 makos small ones which we let go. But we did hook up with a 9 foot mako which we lost right at the edge of the boat because we had a rookie on. we fought that thing for 3 hours. But why dont u hook up with makos as often up in Rhode Island we usally hook up a bunch of blue Sharks

  • @jbhockeyplayer22

Most of what we get here are blue sharks also. That's why this video was so special to us. At the time I didn't realize we were being taped. I was glad we were.

  • i love sharks lovely

  • awsome footage nothing like real life its really amazing to see a mako jump like that. i love shark fishing

  • star screan cyp wtf hes a fucking fisherman u fucking dickhead go do sumthing else than try to ruin pplz day btw very nice mako

  • Do you mean "defenseless?"

Also, sharks aren't really "defenseless..." per se.

  • No defenceless is fine. It's preference but it's unusual to see defense spelled that way. Mainly Brits do that....

  • @y0ungmug defense is actually the proper way to spell it. Nice try though.

  • yeah, real defenceless, thier just the fastest shark in the ocean and happen to have razor sharp teeth!

  • yes they are. By the way the correct spelling is Defence. In America they change the spelling for everything. They ARE defenceless. If they get hooked, that's it. Against humans they can't do anything. I hope if you caught it you let it go afterwards.

  • It makes them feel manlike.

  • @hasseNicknames

When you sink the gaff into the fish and hear it scream, you'll feel like a man & be hooked on fishing also.

  • is that is long beach ny? i dont wanna b malled by a shark when i learn surfing there. ':O

  • "should i grab a gaff" 25 seconds into the fight.

  • It was Justin's first time seeing a shark. He relaxed after the first 30 minutes. An hour after that he sank the gaff just fine.

  • well congrats man, thats a nice mako. we all get excited the first time around.

  • "Holy S^&*t, that's a MONSTER!!!" LMAO!

    nice fish guys.

    Peace!

  • AWSOME ISN'T, GOOD TIMES

  • We did a trip this past Sunday and had 5 small makos. All jumped at least once before being tagged and released.

  • bro below me, you have no clue what your talking about. anything above 250 is a monster. it looks like hes only fishing a fifty wide class reel. ive had the privilege to fight these fish from boat and kayak, and even a 100 pounder is a challenge on 40# test,so stfu with hardly a monster. if its big enough to kill you, its a monster. that one could probably eat you alive. props to igo4mako1! nice shark bro. i got a 400# off of lajolla in my yak on 40#test. 9&1/2 mile tow, 3 hour fight.

  • hardly a monster

  • I don't know if you ever hooked a 300+ mako, but I can tell you it's not called Blue Dynamite for nothing! After 20 plus years of doing this I thought these fellers handled it rather well for first timers. Their verbal responses were (in my opinion) rather understandable.

  • @gmfbgmfb your mom was a monster last night:)

  • wicked!

  • This was a charter so it came home with us. We get some nice fish off of western Long Island. Though most end up tagged and released. Lots of fun.

  • Awesome jumps from what looks like a whopper Mako. Did you land and release it?
