  • Wise words from rodigan!

Would love it if someone could tell me where to get the first song played, and the last one which sounded like ghetto story over a rocksteady riddim.

    Thanks

  • Honestly, one of the most inspiring figures in music. Maximum respect.

  • I love Rodigan!!! Bless up

  • i wonder what he thinks about vybz kartel & movado.

  • The sweetness still lives. The problem is that its harder to reach out to the true massive due to the bad music that's polluting the air waves.

    Check theses bands out.

    raphiesrecords

    upright

    simpkinproject

    David Rodigan is a legend!

  • I agree with Rodigan, the sweetness is gone. Don't expect Jamaican culture to produce the same caliber of artists as it did in the 60s and 70s. The culture itself was destroyed following the violence of the 1980 elections. Thousands of talented, intelligent Jamaicas left the island, including many top producers and artists. The same forces that brought down Manley's government also brought Jamaican culture down. They tried to destroy the ganja and began to import the cocaine.

  • Does anybody know the name of the song in the beginning?

I think the riddims name is "thank you lord riddim"

    thanks for answering!

  • he makes a great point towards the end. being a selector, dj, whatever you want to call it, its all about reading an audience and the tunes u play, not about your eclectic record collection or one upmanship.

  • Whats the tune Rodigan drops at 5.00 mins?
