Contrary to popular opinion, this song isn't racist. It's like Katyusha, a Soviet song about a girl back home (just like this song is).

Just because the Waffen SS used it, that doesn't make it racist. That's like saying Katyusha is Communist because the Red Army used it. Even Chile's army uses this song and yet they aren't Nazis. They are just inspired by Prussian (the predecessor of Germany) values, etc.
