  • nice video but, please dont take this the wrong way, why are you or your friend standing in direct line with the runway ???? if you are a locall you should know better........ because of you and others its now not allowed to stand in that field on air day anymore. thanks

  • @Lewisgaylard Dear Mr Lewis,locals are superior,gaylord,your a moany old git.

  • which airfield you at here ?

  • Jesus Christ that was low where was it @

  • i don't think the tornado is a loud as the typhoon :/

  • @xxxdarkheartedboixxx

When I was a kid I went to a few airshows (Finningley 2 or 3 times and Leuchars).

I can honestly say that the loudest airplane I saw was the F-16 ,she pulled tight circles over the airfield with her burner on (at Finningley).

The F-16 has excellent thrust to weight ratio (dunno if that makes it loud?)

The Vulcan set all the car alarms off in the car park but thats another story - LOL

  • @xxxdarkheartedboixxx The tornado is much much louder than the Typhoon. I've had the pleasure of photographing both in the Welsh valleys. The Typhoon was boring compared to a GR4 hammering past, below where I was sitting!

  • @cardiffmc They did that anyway; in Gulf 1 only the Tornado could deliver the JP233.

  • nearly pops ear drums... but for sure pops out camera microphone

  • HIgh tech. Broke your mic without even trying.

  • Unwatchable, it's pretty much ear rape.

  • Two private germans - we had a small talk after the flight. Coming from Bueckeburg and Herford and both about 55 years.

  • Yikes this is totally unwatchable

  • why is there not the original sound when the ABs go on?

  • Tornado's do practice flights around where I live it Is so cool

  • @REBEL2100x probably just your tv dude

  • Best air show is in the Scottish highlands. These planes fly through the glens at a stone throws distance from the ground. Very very cool to see

  • great job you tube want to hear it but you fucked it up as usual

  • I absolutely love this video and have done since its been up -BUT what the hell happened to the sound...the guy in the hats kind of faggy, but the chick with the hairs nice

  • @jetgeezer what a bummer

  • I remember going to see my dad do a fly past in a Tornado F3 at RAF Conningsby, i was about 5 and i just cried and sat back in the car! These things are loud! Great video by the way

  • @REBEL2100x LOL

  • thank god for that fighterpilot do you know where there's any good air shows? lol

  • are the tornado's gettin retired? i hope not! such a fine warplane!

  • Not a chance, it's one of the best bomb trucks on the planet.

  • You could sizzle a marshmallow behind that things hot ass

  • NICE!!!

  • crazy, whats the location? uk?

  • @TObbST yeh going even mach 1 shatters millions of windows nearby so 2.5 what a load of shit plus your only aloud to show the speed of sound not break it.

  • Man I wish I was there. I remember seeing this at Mildenhall air show many years ago and it has to be the greatest sounding jet around. I wish the clip didn't end so soon :(

  • That pilot is a steezy bastard. i dont care what you say but who can watch this and say that they didnt wish they were a pilot?

  • what´s up at min 1:36??

  • fuck it fuck it this is REALLY fast

  • They aint allowed to do that over land

  • your right,i cant understand this they have to keep away from crowds .

  • Comment removed

  • He wasn't expecting that?

Come on, didn't you notice the wings closed?

When ever you see a Tornado comming at you with it's wings closed, you know he is hauling ass, which usually means full afterburner=loud as hell.

  • When you ever see a Tornado coming at you with wings closed, you know your in trouble, if you're a taliban and you see that then you know you're in some deep shit

  • @Ultramarine998 if you are taliban, the tornado will shit in it pants, you never know what they are goin to fire at it. it was the taliban that dropped many jets and fighters of the russians way back when the taliban was being helped by the americans. So ironical!

  • Because he needed both hands to cover his ears, obviously... ^^

  • theres loads of these flying around in the yorkshire dales

  • I think it might be lossiemouth it sort of looks like it

  • That's the back of Cottesmore I do believe, or certainly looks like it. Regardless, used to watch them take off at night with full afterburner (which looks 3 times longer in the dark), so hot it'd take your eyebrows off.

  • brilliant vid!

  • hahaha

  • The Tornado losses were more to do with poor tactics, ie low level bombing. When they switched to high level bombing they were fine.

  • @maxymazz very true - Gulf War Tornado losses were down to "low Level" bombing runs used by the RAF in the initial stages of the war - the USAF decided pre-war against the vast bulk of its planned low level bombing runs and minimised losses. The RAF realised their "mistake" and switched to higher level runs with much reduced losses. The Tornado is a very bad ass machine - alot of war planes are claimed as such - this machine delivers serious damage!

  • @mmmail1969 The low level stage was planned. Even USAF B-52s, F-15Es, F-111s etc went low level during the initial 3 day period. It was the only way that JP233 could be dispensed on the Iraqi Airfields from the Tornados. Once the JP233 phase and airfield supression was over the switch was made to medium level.

  • @maxymazz

You fucking have no idea what your talking about ... so shut the fuck up and do not Insult the memory of the Aircrews ....

  • @maxymazz but they were also the only aircraft at the time capable of taking out I raqi runways..something along the lines of "the right job at the wrong time" 1 Marham Pilot said

  • why does it cut out at the end? right before the 2nd good part!???

  • how much are they? I think I am going to get one

  • my sister flew one of these, she was in the royal air force for 22 years!

  • fucking love it i want to fly the tornado F3 nice video

  • i love the way he ses "i didnt expect that one" .... wtf?! lol

  • when I visit my grandma near ulm at the danube, they com form lechfeld and theyre also that loud

  • Fuckin Hell! =D

  • The heavy metal of the jet world.

  • hahaha fuckers XD...i think im half dead from unexpected low level passes like that one.

  • wouldnt be suprised if it did those bitches are loud\!

  • Yeah sorry about the ending. A friend was doing the filming as I was holding onto my (then) young son. It was only when I edited afterwards that I found out he he had obviously pressed the stop button as it came overhead!!

  • @maxymazz would been nice to hear that last pass,,, great video though, i really love high speed low level passes by jet fighters, GREAT VID!

  • @maxymazz No matter what, I loved the ending! "Oh... Ohh.. AHH!"

  • nice footage.... would have liked to see the complete close up overhead but it was cut short...never mind...great aircraft

  • Just to repeat, this is RNAS Yeovilton, the air show in about 2004, filmed from the edge of the perimeter fence where we locals go to watch!

  • yeah that's conningsby

  • looks nothing like coningsby, and coningsby haven't had an airshow in years.

  • There's no mention anywhere on the description that this is an airshow, from what you can see in the video it looks very much like conningsby. Stop hiding behind the video posters comments to make yourself look smart and correct

  • It clearly states yeovilton and nowhere around coningsby are there low wooden fences or hills in the background.

  • show me where in the title or info does it say yeovilton. Your opinion is invalid.

  • maxymazz stares it as yeovilton, and you obviously haven,t been to coningsby or you are registered blind.

  • awesome what raf base is ths? my guess is coningsby?

  • This is pretty cool stuff. i love these planes.

  • sorry, but AWESOME!!!!!!

  • imagine the pshychological effect that must have on an enemy in the war zone? like just hearin THAT coming for you!hahaha

  • Haha, my god, people actually still wear them straw boater hats!!?!? Great vid though - shame about the end

  • All different aircraft. Tornado "interdiction strike " a low level high speed runway denial, used in a cold war scenario in Europe.

At low level nothing will match it , for range speed and bomb load.

    nothing.

F-14 high altitude fleet interceptor wrapped around the phoenix missle. Good BUT a costly maintenance pig , widow maker ( with early engines) f-15 air superiority, nuff said. f-16 light weight fighter.

f-5 export light fighter, aggressor aircraft, NOT better then the f-16.

  • my tl1000s is that loud!

  • is this in england?

when i visit my grandma there also often tornados at laupheim there is an airbase

  • I think these Tornados are the ECR's form Lechfeld Aerobase!

  • ah das ist ja ganz in der nähe

könnte aber auch bei Memmingen sein ;)

  • Ne^^ in Memmingen ist schon lang kein Flugbetrieb mehr ;) Da ist nur noch die Technische Schule :)

  • sry

  • musst dich doch net entschuldigen^^

  • :D bin halt net aufem neuesten stand

  • Das ist wohl eher ne Flugshow irgendwo in England.

Hier sind solche Flugmanöver über Zuschauer hinweg oder auch nur in ihre Richtung und in der niedrigen Höhe seit Ramstein ausnahmslos verboten.

  • wahrscheinlich

    glaub ich dann auch

  • Where the hell is the end?!?!??!

  • wow

  • Those F-14 Tomcats are just as loud as this Tornado! pretty intense

  • damn right F-14s are the best at anything even sound!

  • Really? The F-14 is a nice plane. But its not nearly the best at everything. Even the p.o.s Tornado is bettr than the F-14.Heck, if an F-14 were to go up against anf F-16, the F-16 would win hands down.

  • how is the Tornado better than the F-14? the Tornado is great at air to ground, but the F-14 is excellent at both air to air and air to ground. The F-14 has beaten the F-16 countless times, and the F-16 did beat the F-14 at times too. one plane, the F-5 is more manuverable than the F-16, and it went up against the F-14. guess what? the F-14 whooped the F-5's ass. the F-14 has precision guided bombs, close range missiles, and one thing no other aircraft has, the phoenix missile ultra long range

  • In case you haven't noticed, the F-14 isn't used anymore! The F-16 has been around LONGER than the F-14! The F-16 went operational in 1971 I believe, and the F-14 went operational in 1976. The F-16 is still going to be used up to 2020 (so I've heard). The F-14 was retired due to it not performing very well anymore compared to more manverable aircraft and more advanced aircraft. It was retired on December 2005.

  • yeah i know it isnt used anymore! the F-16 was operational in 1979 and the F-14 was operational in 1974. The F-14 was retired due to high maintenance costs. people say that the F/A-18 was better than the Tomcat only ground attack wise. but the Tomcat had better range, speed, weapons air to air, ground attack was great, power, and strength. manuverability? pfft the Tomcat can hold its own. it has beaten the F/A-18 many times too. and the F-14 was retired 2006 in which it was its last deployment.

  • The F14 was used for carrier based operations. Carrier based aircraft have a shorter life expectancy, primarily due to increased stresses that result from arresting cables and catapault takeoffs. Then theres the increased salinity in the sea air, which leads to oxidation and rust propagation in airframes. F14 was by far the better jet. F16 falls into the lesser category.

  • Even though I fly helo's, the 14 is a pilot's dream. I have a friend who fly's 16's at Luke AFB and he'll tell you. The 16 is a beginner's jet. The 14 was decommed due to maintain costs. Personally I think it should have had one more upgrade. But w/ the intro of planes like the 35 and especially the 22. Everything is outdated now.

  • nice point, the F-14 IS A PILOTS DREAM=) i just dont like the F-35 and the F-22 because it ruins the whole exhileration of dogfighting. the 35 and 22 fight far away, and to me that is unfair and boring. The F-14 did it the best, long and close range. by the way, what helo do you fly?

  • exhileration of dogfighting? its not a video game, its peoples lives and many millions of pounds of Aircraft, anything to avoid a dogfight is regarded the better option for any airforce.

long range warfare is the safest form of warfare for pilots, fire and forget means they get to RTB!

  • true but pilots WANT the exhileration of dogfighting, its part of the reason why they sign up. Thats what I want to do after college.

  • 1:22 - "This gonna be loud one" :D

  • MAN i wish Tornadoes would come to US airshows

  • F22 is a joke compared to the F26.

  • Meant F35

  • Video doesn't do this justice. This aircraft is so fucking powerful. It was like the sky was being ripped apart when one flew low over me in Scotland.

  • i totally agree... seeing and hearing the tornado at an airshow is immense... by far the nicest and loudest sound i have ever heard

  • nope. the 2 types are the GR4 and F3

  • OWW MY EARS ARE SOO SOAR turn your speakers full blast on full volume of everything then think again! TORNADOES FOR LIFE AND LIKE HE SAID YOU WOULDNT LIKE TO MESS WITH THAT WOULD YOU?

  • You wouldn't want to mess with the Lockheed-Martin F-22 Raptor. It could smoke the Tornado. The Tornado is a ground attack aircraft, the Raptor is a multirole aircarft. Tell me, which do you think would win.

  • You Woudn't want to mess with the Euro Fighter it could Blast your raptor into ashes Now who would win now?

  • F-22. I have seen both in person. The F-22 would OWN the Eurofighter ( You do realize that Eurofighter is an aircraft manufacturer, right?)

  • Fine then the Typhoon will rip your junk in bits i have both seen the tornado and typhoon in person and they are LEGENDS know who would win?

  • I would say that the Typhoon and Raptor are equally matched. It would be anybodies match.

  • F22 is a joke. Period.

  • You're a joke. Period period.

  • there are more than 1 type of tornado - ground attack (the GR3) and the fighter version (F4).

  • (f3)

  • The tornado is nearly 30 years old, ofcourse the raptor would win. The Typhoon, however, is a different story.

  • Bull crap. The Raptor is by far the MOST technologicly advanced AIR SUPERIORITY fighter in the world. The Typhoon is NOT an air superiority fighter. The MiG-29 and Su-47 could easily destroy the Typhoon, but not the Raptor.

  • Are you serious? That's exactly what a Typhoon is! An air superiority fighter! Get your facts right. Mig 29? Are you actually being serious? I refuse to take you seriously after your last comment, you clearly have no knowledge of the subject.

  • your wrong actually... going from your own head then maybee the f22 is more technologicaly than the typhoon.. some how =S.. but if you actualy knew about either of the aircraft proply then youd know its a fact that the typhoon is at the moment more technologicaly advanced than the f22

  • You are a British person. No wonder you don't know anything. The F-22 has THRUST VECTORING! The horrible Typhoon has standard aircraft engines. Maybe YOU should start teaching yourself how to read. You might learn that the only aircraft the F-22 has to fear is Russia's Su-47 Berkut. The Typhoon is an insignificant insect on the F-22's canopy!

  • ur a shit bag

  • How did I guess that you would ba stupid brit?

  • compare the ages of both planes before you make a comment like that please.. the f22 would win obviously... but then put that up against the typhoon and see who would win okay

  • Well said

  • OH LOOK ANOTHER ARROGANT AMERICAN FUCK WHO GIVES THE REST A BAD NAME. You talk as if you're a test pilot or something. stfu

  • You arnt a pilot, u are probably a wonna be. U dont know fuck all about as and you are what gives americans a bad name. ur scum bag. get some experience in the air before u start chattin shit.

  • Of course I'm not a pilot YET!!! I am still a student pilot!!!

  • I bet ur not. Im a student pilot, just finished training in the grob 109b and startin in the grob 115E this summer, i dnt realy care what you have to say, im just telling you

  • Im sure a trainee pilot has poor grammar like yourself ;). Give us some proof of your 'training' mate.

  • had a German tornado buzz the ammo dump in Baumholder in'94.Hell yeah!!!

  • looks a bit like Cottesmore in Rutland, used to live in Oakham just down the road and used to watch the Tornadoes taking off at night with the afterburners singing the grass in front of us. Awesome sound when stood 100m behind one when taking off I await the bitter and irrelevant comments that are to follow

  • WICKED!!

  • a bit like sunderland airshow

  • Lol

  • when i was a kid, i used to see tornados flying past my bedroom window in yorkshire. they were so loud i had plenty of warning to race up the stairs to get a look. sometimes they were so low it felt like i was looking down on them. we used to get low flying a10,s too. fond memories

  • Yeah me too. Grew up in Leicestershire, loads a tornados..Remember watching two a10's dogfighing in the sky for what seemed like 20 minutes while waiting for the bus to go to school.

  • i think the best recruitment drive the RAF could ever do is to get tornado's buzzing kids bedroom windows again!

  • p.s, were the A10's waiting for the school bus? amazing aircraft ha ha ;-)

  • lol the shit stops too soon! he must have dropped the camera!

  • I just have to repeat everyone else, where is the rest of the film???

    Still brilliant tho!!

    Thanks for posting. :-)

  • One flew by my house today. I fuckin' shit myself. Normally it's only Hercules' and Chinook's that go by.

  • whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! man that wud of been brilliant what possesd you to stop at the BEST point

  • ilove that sound :D i NEVER cover my ears :D!!

  • You don't usually see these sort of low, fast passes in the UK due to excessive rules and regulations. It makes a nice change to see this.

PS: Agreed with 'guitarnublet', why on earth would you stop filming at that point?!?

  • omg why stop taping at that point?!?!

  • wings swept back and maybe on afterburners.......DAMN THATS NICCEEE!!

  • fucking sweet

  • They're so loud its insane

  • 5 MORE SECONDS AND I'D BE SET

  • nice, thumbs up from me.

  • commence pants shitting sequence......NOW

  • Hear those Rolls RB-199s tear up the sky... Awesome, well and truly.

    Long live the RAF!

  • ahh the end was cooool :)

  • same most people are!

    Have a great time man

I think its gunna be good =]

  • Thanks mate!

You in the forces at all?

  • tornado isnt british.

    its a british/german/italian plane.

  • argh you stopped at the best moment!

  • What a beast!

  • I still love my American jets, but this Tornado pass has turned me into a fan. Good to have you Brits as our allies.

  • is it possible for an American to ever just comment on a video without bringing "America" into it.

  • lol, i don't think it is.

  • Eldomina22: The reason I mentioned "America" was out of a desire show a predominantly British video page that at least one American (and therefore likely many more) does support and appreciate their military and nation.

But I can see how someone could miss all that subtext and instead focus only on their own biased opinion of "Yanks". Don't worry about it.

  • but it's true, you don't see anyone from any other country doing this. it's always an American.

  • Janine: There may be some truth to it, in general, but first I would love to hear your thoughts as to why they do it, and why you think its a negative thing.

  • How can a military piece of machinery be sexy d;-)
