hearing this old stuff, you can really see how more modern guitarists like Frusciante pay homage to Hazel, whom they often mention reverently as a major influence in interviews. Too bad Hazel didn't live long enough to turn out lots more like this. His time on earth was too brief.

Eddie's guitar solo on studio recording is fantastic but the whole ensemble of live recording is much stronger than that.

A few days before this show,Tiki Fulwood quit.That's when Tyrone Lampkin was drafted in.You can hear by his playing that he never had time to learn the drum parts,&had to basically improvise&feel his way thru each of the joints@ the show.This Cat'was dropped in @the deep end!& to top it off,Billy"Bass"Nelson was proper vexed @havin' to "break"in&try to sync up with a new drummer on concert night...
