sv 650 s

Could someone please tell me where to get the lower/full fairing for the sv650s k9.. been looking everywhere and cant find where to buy them. Im in Aus and dont mind getting it internationally or is it as simple as going to your local dealer? its doing my head in.. looks so good with the full fairing..

@jubb408, no, the SV650 is not faster than a GSXR600. However, the SV650 has more low-end and mid-range torque. The GSXR600 has about 40 additional horsepower, but the engine can only achieve that horsepower in the upper 30% of its rev-range. The SV650 is an easier motorcycle to ride for street use because of such a wide and useable powerband.

@jdubb408 the gixxter 600 is about 110 hp and the sv about 70 hp. yes the gixxter is faster but the torque curve isn't the same and a good rider on a sv can outrun a 600 gixxter

if you want some fairings on your sv just get a chin spoiler. it gives you some more color, but still has the naked bike feel.

i think the only SV's that look "good" are the ones with full fairing. Especially the 2003 and onwards

i suppose you are entitled to your shitty opinion:) the nakey version looks mean once you change the lights, speedo, etc., and the fully faired version would look good if the plastics looked less cheap, more like 4 cylinder plastics, but in MY shitty opinion svS is the only way to go.

Go to an authorised dealer. They are quite expensive though (£400 in the UK)! The fairings mount onto the engine, just beneath the upper fairing (on the SV650 S), and near the foot pegs
