there are boomerangs that come back and some like aboriginals use in hunting that dont....if you want to learn to throw them, you could try a smaller sized one like a ''hummingbird'' (with turned up ends). when i was a kid my record was 39 times throwing and catching it in a row. i dont throw them anymore since i smashed my dogs canine tooth out with one.

Austrailians invented it to catch birds who would evade, just for the boomerang to knock them out after curving. They used steam to bend wood into that shape. But I must say, do not buy them, they curve into an L shape and do not return. I bought like 8 of them and they all never worked. I saw a chacram thrown and cut meat in half. So I thought, what if a boomerang was bladed, and then I thought, the thrower better learn to dodge.

@furyberserk Fury no offence but you need to practice hard to get it to come back.

It's all about the skill without practice it isn't going to come back to you it needs to be thrown properly on the exact angle with the exact ammount of force put into throwing it, only takes about a week to learn and then about another 2 weeks to perfect.

For a new person who has no experiance it will come back about 50% of the time and you need to duck for you're life and run because it almost hits you in the head untill you can practice catching.

Some people in Australia still use it to hunt birds.

as long as you caught it correctly when it came back. you would probably need special gloves. and idk how well it would kill since most people are equipped with things to protect them from bullets idk how well a bladed boomerang would do. you would need good aim
