The real song is in GABDEG tuning... Interesting the way you played it in EGDGBE, though. That's similar to the tuning on Swimsuit Issue and The Destroyed Room (Sonic Youth songs).

metronome fucks with my timing, personally, because i pay too much attention to the timing, and not enough on chord changes. my rhythm is normally good though, so i don't need a metronome to practice.

Nah, some Novaks vintage stylee. Mainly because a good clean tone is better for me than a distorted one, and I've heard quarter pounders can get a bid muddy.
