Hi, I have one of that saber in this film, and even though I know you won't sell yours, do you know of anyone else that has one that would consider selling it? I met a guy who wants to buy one after seeing mine, but I could never sell my precious. Thank you for your time.

a while ago, i loaned one of my friends some money, and in exchange he said i could take a lightsaber hilt from his collection, so i took a Sidious lightsaber hilt. I don't know if it is the same kind, it is hollow, but it has no electronics in it.

I ask lathe turner but he told me that it's impossible, or too expensive.

@Zaneatown I didn't make that hilt. It's made by sculpting and molding/casting. I could do it but it's a big adventure and loads of nasty chemicals.

I've heard if you have a forge you could pretty easily cast aluminum. This however is resin + lathed parts.

Yeah, it doesn't have the curved shape though. It's a tube where he puts a shroud in the correct shape of a Sidious saber. If you like the general design and don't care that the hilt isn't a curvy shape, that'll do.

@Scottknows5 I did the electronics in it, but the hilt I didn't. When I found out how rare this hollow hilt was I had plans to make similar ones, but I don't know if I'll ever get to it. Casting stuff is intense and it's the only cost effective way to get those curves over a batch.

Erm... so not the master replicas sidious saber? You said in your last vid that its made of resin and brass. BLAH. They need to start making sidious force FX so I can get it and pirate the hilt for a hyperblade.

@HolycrapIminafire Nope, the MR replicas are solid. Not even worth doing anything with, nor easy to replicate. Some casting method is needed as CNC work would take MANY hours/days.

I wouldn't want an FX version either. It'd be a straight tube and fat parody of a sidious saber. Nor would I waste my time with a hyperblade.

Does anyone know where to get pre soldered LUXEON REBEL LED'S there was a link on here about a year ago,where a guy showed a place in Germany that was selling presoldered/terminated to a metallic/ silicon square disk Lixeon rebel LED's god i need that link so bad!

The hilt was bought second hand. It was one of 20 made by Korbanth of Sith Planet. They're exceedingly rare and I haven't seen any for sale since and I've only met a few other owners.

From the videos I've seen, it looks like, on a scale of 1-10, if a Luxeon III was a 1 and a Luxeon V was a 10, that a K2 would be like a 2. Basically I'm saying that it appears as if K2s are only slightly bright than Luxeon IIIs, and nowhere near a Luxeon V.

Well, in red there is no V... It's also different in person. A k2 is really in between, but I don't consider the V the top. Rebels can kick it's ass when done correctly and there are other high wattage LEDs I'm not too fond of.

Stock MRs, or every part of an MR? I bought a converted Vader from UltraSabers, and am waiting for it in the mail. It has an UltraFx Blade, which are supposed to be one of the best, and a Luxeon III.

My guess is you bought a stock MR and the blade broke on you, am I right? Well in that case, MRs aren't crap, but rather LED strips in the blade are (not counting HyperBlades).

Exactly... MR's are solid. They are not capable of lighting up. This saber was one of 20 and not all were ever lit up and certainly not with Luxeons.

I've been around the hobby for years and there have only been two lighting capable ones I know of.. The run of 20 I have one of and a guy in japan that molded his own. I was never able to track that guy down.

Corbin film and PolyPropeleyne. TheCustomSaberShop carries corbin film and I order the PolyP from papermart.

Some craft stores have similar stuff. The stuff they wrap gift baskets in and such is extremely similar and will work just as well. I just order it because I get large quantities.

Is it big enough to add a soundboard? I would use the Darth Maul board if you were going to.

Probably, but as I said in the video I don't want to drill sound holes. The best that could be managed is "salt and pepper shaker" holes in the endcap. Not every saber needs sound either.
