  • marghazhi is not a raga..it is the constant state of the mind..sing this raga always!

  • Can some one upload the movie link... great to hear !

  • gative

  • The ragas from the beginning are Nadanamakriya, Behag, Reethigowlai, Saveri(?), Desh(?), Kapi, Varali and Kalyani. I could be wrong on a couple of these.

  • @youisfun :

    Mayatita svarupini - Mayamalavagaula

    Amba Nilayatakshi - Nilambari

    Janani Ninnuvina - Ritigaula

    Saramaina – Javali - Behag

    Sitapati - Kamas

    Ragam Tanam Pallavi - Varali

    Jagadoddharana - Kapi

    Vande Mataram - Yamunakalyani,Brindavani,Carukeshi, Sindhubhairavi

  • @sudarsone; varali sounda like begada, sama... hahahahahahahaha...

shows you know neither varali, nor begada, nor sama...

    grow up, kid

  • Hey dude! - Chill! I don't like this crap that they dish out half the time. So that is my prerogative. Just because you adore these musicians doesn't mean everyone else should have the same opinion.

  • @vegavahini well said!! here here!!!

  • @vegavahini While I have absolutely nothing against you thinking that their voices are nasal or whatever, I must ask you never, EVER, to disrespect an artist or his/her art. If you don't like their music, say it. But calling it "crap that they dish out" shows a very high level of immaturity and a lack of culture. By the way, you might want to find out the real meaning of 'prerogative'.

  • when ids the dvd comin out?

  • expected Dec 1

  • 3:00 to 3 :40 Divine... What Raga?

  • It sure is divine aint it? I feel it is basically this raga called Varali. That is what i feel it could be but there are instances where it also sounds like this raga called Sama and also Begada. I feel the same way too when i hear this varali raga. Some other songs you may want to check out are Ka Vaa Vaa (try the version rendered by TNSeshagopalan) or Evvarulero (try the version rendered by Balamurali Sir) AM-A-ZING

  • excellent!! when is this released?? pls let me knw.. :)

  • i hope you are asking when the dvd is going to get released. well first hand info says it could be anytime after june-july 2009. it was released in dec 2008 and ran packed houses at SATYAM CINEMAS, Chennai and is still on screen in a few theatres in US.

  • When is this coming out?

  • Whoa take it easy there buddy.

  • this is really awesome ... waiting to download

  • samma too good

  • Exactly what carnatic music needed!! ;)Wouldn't it be nice if this transformational approach to carnatic music magically made the singing better? (instead of the same nasal singing, bad intonation etc.)...Hmm! Wishful thinking indeed!

  • this is what is called commenting without any knowledge.....am sorry...u don;t think before u comment like this...!!! It is ur limitation that u can not look beyond a certain level in carnatic music!!!

  • Believe me...I am very happy with my limitation :) that I can't look past this level. I thank God for giving me better sense of rasanai.

  • @vegavahini sabaash!! bhale!! what gumption!! vegavahini, ur words ring out true to the core!!!
