@Masked2Masters It is the open a-string. If you see the vid of them recording the song he hits the Ab. But if you watch the live performances, know the higher part syn plays live (and i believe also on the videoclip), and use your ears, it's the open a.

@SharpWalkers No, it's not, it's the A AND the D strings, watch the video and you can see him hitting the D each time, not to mention when you're standing directly in front of him watching him play it live it's kind of hard to miss...

@thatemoguyy5908x Yes you right. i know he hits the drop-D but it's the same NOTE as an open A string, so it really doesn't matter how you play it. I used to play it with the open A because that's what it was written like in the tab i used, but figured out that playing the A on the Drop D string is a lot more confortable.
