  • i will see if i can post some more vintage 80s and 90s video of fighters from the NYC NJ area...look for tags fontanez, kevin thompson, bill beason, new york point karate, im waiting on someone to send me some videos that are from that era. Beasons style changes depending on who hes fighting...more rigid for traditional...more bouncy for non traditional fighter such as J. Nunez

  • As a young student under Reno Moralez in the late 70's 80's, I had the privilege to see Derrick, Lil Ka, Billy Beason, Fred Miller in local tournaments in the NYC area. Derrick was the best Kata man out there while Billy and KA were the better at fighting. J nunez was as flexible as they came. Derricks student Kendu Alah and Eva Aguilera were also awesome. Other standouts were Andre Brown, Master Breaker and Llamar Thorton. I'm 44 now and get the itch to make a come back at senior.

  • great spead and stances. I hope one day to be like that.

  • I was a young student (7-11yrs old) of the school on 233rd st from 88-91?, Bill was amazing to watch, fast & powerfull & he whistled when he fought, like a GTI changing high gear whistle. I wouldn't want to fight him.

  • Wow! I just found this video from another angle. I've been looking for Beason. Have him contact me at (973) 927-2851

  • I enjoyed that one! I don't remember Derrick Williams. Did he train at Bennett's as well?

  • Very good.Sharp!!!!!
