you have to understand that the typical guitar user just fed all is life from mainly rock, metal, punk, blues etc, and thats okay, but also you have to understand that in these genres guitarist use so much artificial effects that kills any real tone that come from the guitar lots of distortion, delay, compression, reverb etc, makes anyone tone sound "cool" or gives the effects that he plays "fast" this is ALL illusions!!
what you see here (mick barr) this is all real playing, raw and honest.
Isn't a doubt in my mind this guy could probably write a decent song but his style of playing sounds like teaching a kid everything there is to know about music theory from the day he is born untill his first gig and never giving him a guitar untill the minute he steps onstage.
