  • Enjoyed that. Please tell me catching the fish was not first try.

  • beautiful vid bro. it was a gem!

  • Great tube bud.

    THanks

Look forward to seeing more tubes of surfing and living in the ruff.

  • I'm sorry I trolled

  • @TZ3z PM coming atcha! I don't agree with trolling but I'm sure that it does help people to give a little more thought to their vids before they post them lol!

  • U could go c my small survival tin video

  • I like survival stuff my friend and I just troll sometimes for the heck of it

  • Sorry I trolled

  • Thank you :) great vid!

  • Great to have you share that story with us buddy. Great video shots as well and I loved the fish catch. I miss the mountain streams where I'm at now.

  • Thanks for sharing the adventure and the story.

  • Thanks for posting!

"My Side Of The Mountain" is a great book!

I first read it over 40 years ago, every now and then I re-read it.

It left me with a life long ambition to go see the Catskills or some where like it.

Permanent water is such a game changer!

If we had tried living of the land here in SA, we would have starved!

Besides rabbits, 'roo's, lizards, snakes and grubs, there is not much to eat.

    Merry Christmas!

  • you're doning great!, hope to see you on tv soon!

  • Dude! You're like the James Bond of the outdoor world! LOL! Keep it up. I love your videos and your gear selections. Gives me great ideas! You have a very artistic eye. Love the creative shots you incorporate into your videos. Such a joy to watch. Much better than tv!

  • man i'm hoping you upload some new videos soon, i remember i found your channel about a year ago and have been interested ever since, keep up the great work.

    Charlie

  • Man, your videos are getting much better. Love the boat and the bow. Thanks a lot for making these entertaining videos. I've learned a lot from watching.

  • Just re-read "My side of the mountain" recently. Well done.

  • Great video. Very captivating filmwork and a nice story also.

  • What a life...

What bow is that, i want something compact like this..

  • @SerJahPhoto The bow is a PSE coyote with 35# draw weight.

  • I find your series far more interesting then most of Dicovery or Nat. Geo. You better bring them to a production house, maybe you'll become rich and famous.haha Cheers.

  • Greatest story. Words can not describe what a cool place you live in.

  • I love your videos! Whether they are informative or just you exploring. I don't get out like I used to be able to and I love doing these sorts of things. Too many people don't know and aren't interested in learning how to live outdoors or just try to do things the way people have for thousands of years. Keep up the videos! I love your channel.

  • Excellent editing yet again. Only took me 2 hrs and 15 min to let this buffer so i could watch it lol. But always worth viewing your videos buddy. Beautiful place and appeared to be a great hike for you. Thanks swibo

  • That's beautiful, count yourself as a lucky man to live like that.

  • Fantastic. I was just checking out videos for pse coyote bows when I came across your videos. Been checking out several of your videos for an hour or so now. It looks like you have a pse or similar bow there. My side of the mountain was a favorite of mine back in the 70's. Found it made into a movie a couple of years ago. I'm in my forties now but your (very well done) video sure reminded me of some very fond chilhood memories. Thank you.

  • Hello my friend, Wow, what a sweet story. It's always precious to have wonderful memories of our youth and to have the opportunity to revisit them, reflect in the happy memories, and to share them. Both with us the viewers, and hopefully with your own children some day. It's pretty certain that they too will inherit the same adventurous spirit that you and your wife share. : )

Thanks for the enjoyable video, some nice survival fishing, beautiful country, and the happy story... : )

  • Great story!

  • Sweet some live "Frogger" action!

Great story! Looks like a terrific area. Were there other adventures you two had in this valley?

  • I love adventure. What a great time.

  • Great vid. Better reason for the vid. What kind of bow is that you have?

  • Great vid. Excellent camera work. That must have taken some time, especially for those long kayak shots. You definitely have some talent for this.

  • Beautiful area Sir!

    sercout

  • Thank you for sharing that with us.

  • you are very passonate about everything you do and that is why i watch your videos. That was a great story and im glad you are able to live in a place which reminds you of it.

  • I love that your camera beat you across the river ... Great shot.

  • Great story. Thanks very much for sharing.

  • I ain't no militant gun freak but, your front porch is just screaming for a 50BMG ... or, at least, A 300 WinMag or a Lapua, etc. ... You could pin down that entire domain, from anywhere near your place.

  • Cheers to you as well! Thanks for not only a look into your surroundings but into your past as well

  • Quality is in the content m'friend, not the rendering. I appreciate the thought you put into things, keep up the awesome vids, and thanks for sharing.

  • Pretty country and great story. Thanks for sharing.

  • Excellent video and story. Thank you for sharing both!

  • entertaining video and story

    thanks for sharing them both

  • very cool.

  • When I was a kid I read My Side of the Mountain. For several years I ran away everyday. My Mom packed my lunch. Not sure what that says about me or my Mom. I suspect she knew better than to pack me more than lunch. We lived on 1500 acres of northern Montana wheat farm. I had a lot of space and needed every inch. I'm feeling the need now.

  • ;)

    regards

  • Fantastic video and great story, thank you. It brought me back to when I was growing up, me and my two brothers were going to run away. We took an Axe and some food and took off into the woods, built a lean-to shelter. We ended up going back home when we ran out of food. Thanks for bringing back that memory.
