  • the saddest scene I've ever seen in anything

  • I absolutley loved the song for this scene. Brought out the emotion in a perfect way. Almost made me shed some tears. :< The same with this picture (If you ignore the Cookies Monster T-shirt in the background), it is just perfect.

  • The thing that makes this show so incredible is that they put the viewer in a situation where you think about if you were in that situation. You feel like you're in the show. This scene was my favorite scene of the whole show.

  • I love this song so much thanks for posting!!!!!!!

  • This scene was pretty awesome, and I hold all shows to the Breaking Bad blue standard.

  • @nicksjamin1 I too use the BB standard.

  • am just happy to see some of my favorite bands like sun kil moon and the black keys get appreciated more. SOA RULES! I've only started watching it and I've gone through three seasons, in a week....

  • Ålesund <3

  • Ålesund is truly a beutiful city, so is the song.

  • Its been my favorite song for a year

  • im not quite sure lol im only 16 but this song feels like my childhood

  • @whitefang4951 someday songs like this will be your childhood ;)

But your right. It feels like this for me and a bit more. It feels like home...

  • I am absolutely in love with this song! its beautiful:)

  • The best damn scene in the entire series! You really see that tough facade melt away, and all of his complications and thoughts and deepest emotions surface. Amazing amazing scene with a ridiculous amount of depth

  • The song is beautiful but he would have pulled this scene off without it. The pain is all written on his face. Oh man, the combination tied my stomach in knots. Charlie Hunnam-totally underrated actor.

  • one of the best and saddest moments ive ever seen on a tv show.

  • COOKIE MONSTER!

  • I listened this song before, I think last year, and I was in love with every word the singer sings, but now I just finished episode 11 season 3 of SoA and I felt this song like something mine from a long time ago and something new for the feelings this episode was bringing me in these moments. So emotional.

  • @JilgueroFolk but he's only humming along...

  • So.

    Bloody.

    Emotional.

This is why this show is so brilliant...excellent establishment of atmosphere.

  • smartthan98

i think in jaxs really thought he was making the right desicion cuz sometimes if you really love someone and want to keep them out of harms way you have to let them go no matter how much you dont want to.

  • J'aurais pas mieu dire LakeBodom666Killer.On peu dire que ces du jamais vu.La music tres bien choisi pour cette scene. On reverra probablement jamais une scene de se genre!

  • that scene ws so gripping and full of emoion words cant describe it for me most powerful scene in any show ive ever seen nothing in any other tv show and movies for that matter has compared

  • dig the cookie monster shirt in the background!!

  • i just watched this episode and the look on jax's face made me cry. this was probably the most powerful scene in the show. really great music...

  • luv it lol soa rocks

  • Ålesund is actually a city in Norway, where he played at Sommerfesten(summerparty/summerfestival) at Giske. An island just outside Ålesund. The festival is free - the only "fee" is that you bring food that you give at the entrance, the festival volunteers prepares it and shares it with everyone. Apparently he wrote parts of the song while in Ålesund.

  • I was so fuckin mad when I first saw this scene!! If Charlie Hunham was standing in front of me I would have knocked him out! Thank God for Gemma! I was screaming at the TV, "That's your son!". lol

  • @smarterthan98 Jax was confused because of the priest. Abel would have a better life if he would be with those parents. But still thank god he is back

  • @Distancian There's no guarantee that he would have. Just because they had money and a picture perfect life doesn't mean that is how it truly is. Jax should have known better.

  • @smarterthan98 The scene was brilliant. If you put yourself in Jax's shoes don't you think you might kinda feel the same way? Like considering Jax's lifestyle, and the way he wanted to get out of it but couldn't?

  • Stupid tv plug-ins. This idiot even cut out the entire intro, no respect for Mark.

  • @heth6 While I think the intro and the fade out contain great guitar work, it doesn't seem to fit the rest of the song. The end is on here, it's when it suddenly sounds like a Mariachi band. ;) No disrespect to the performer, like I said the guitar work on the full version is great, just out of place.

  • 298 SONS APPROVE OF THIS TRIBUTE......LONG LIVE SAMCRO

  • As soon as I started watching SOA I was in love with it. I couldn't stop watching it. It just brought out every emotion in you. It wasn't until i watched this episode until i knew this was by far my favorite show. First time I ever cried while watching a TV show. Such a perfect scene and the perfect song to go along with it.

  • I'm watching a replay of this SoA episode at the moment, but with the sound off so that I can listen to this. It fits so well with so much of the episode!

  • such an amazing song for the scene i was so close to tears the way he could justr stand and wach it all unfold in the market store

  • SAMCRO approves of this song!!!

  • this scene was the turning point for jax teller

  • I Love this song! Sons Of Anarchy is my favorite show!! <3

    Jax is amazing <3

  • Beautiful song I teared up when Jax sees his baby and doesn't get him

  • What i really want is a tutorial...... I want to learn how to play this sooo bad :/ YOUTUBE GET ONE.

  • i got so mad in this scene i would never let no one take my son. good thing he came to his senses later.

  • @SexyPugs Yes but I have a problem with how he came to his senses. For one, his mother slapped the sense into him. And two, it wasn't until he found out that he had another baby on the way that he realized his mistake. Huh? So his rationale was "I don't want my son in my life. Wait I'm having another son? Ok now I do want both of them in my turbulent life" LOL.

  • @harrybaules

I think he realized when was mistaken, when he found out Jimmy was going to take Abel... he realized whether him thinking Abel would be better off with the other family, didn't matter bc he will always be in danger being that he is his son. He realized then it was his job as his father to protect him... and giving him up wouldn't be adequate means of protecting him. It wasn't about him not wanting his son in his life, but rather where the child would grow up safely.

  • @harrybaules yeah man i was literally watching this scene and every time ive seen it since angry i would never let that happen specially after he went all the way to ireland to get him and then all of a sudden no he dont need him no more

  • Beautiful. Perfect song for this scene.

  • finally found it

  • I thought wtf when I saw this songs name since there is a place in Norway (my country) called Ålesund.

  • this song is the best... i'm greatful for it.

  • absolutely beautiful, adds to the atmosphere and such a moving scene in SOA. gorgeous dispay of the acoustic guitar aswell as kudos to the show...fantastic x

  • Jax did something i could never do in a lifetime letting his son go like that must have been hard in him.

  • this is were he finds his son with the other family isnt it,dont think ill ever forget that scene now for as long as i live

  • Who could ever press the dislike button?

  • where can i dl this song ??

  • @TheAbb0t Copy the link into: video2mp3 dotcom,it's easy

  • beautiful scene. Show's how a real man would act in such a situation.

  • This is perfect to that scene! <3 Love it!

  • Beautiful song beautiful Series. But Cookiemonster is looking weird at me guys

  • In my opinion , what makes SOA such a classic show is it's great choices of songs for each scene.

  • @ela1191 Well, that and the fact it's an amazing cast and amazing writers :P

  • Saw this scene last week and cried as well, absolutely loved the acoustic fortunate sun scene way back as well, very tasty tunes in this show.

  • you should upload the whole scene!!!!!still thank u very much!!!thumbs up!!!

  • Jax loves his son so much he would let him go, let him go to live a happier and safer life. That is the love of a father, to do what is right for them, the best for them even if that means letting go.

I have to admit, if I was in Jax's shoes I would do the same thing. It would kill me inside but knowing they are safe and happy would give me the strength to carry on.

    SFFS

  • This song is about my hometown :P

  • the perfect song for this scene my husband and i cried our eyes out!

  • Another example of great music used in a great series. I'm a huge fan of SOA. Can't wait for the fourth season......

  • i just saw that episode 2 days ago and i i couldnt hold my tears back

  • Such a moving song with aa very moving scene that is quiet close to my heart and any other parent. Really do feel for Jax.

  • Awesomee song :)

  • Incredible! Anytime i listen to it... wowwww

  • need this damn song on Spotify so bad :(

  • No, this is not my guitar, I'm bringing it to a friend.

  • outstanding music on sons, im a freak for this show

  • this a fantastic scene and it made cry my eyes out, i thought jax really was giving him up for good.. so fantastic and moving

  • It was a sad scene on the SOA with that song playing !!!! To me it made Jax feel that he was really losing his son!!!!!!!!!

  • it brought chills and the tears were flowing

  • sucha good song for such a good show. SOA

  • I just laughed at the cookie monster in the background.

  • that was an amazing scene!!!!and a great song!!!!!brought a tear to my eye!!!!this band has a song that comes out in the gears of war three trailer!!!love Sun kill moon

  • Great scene, I love SoA's soundtracks. Always a perfect fit.

  • @Finalknot Especially on the first episode of the season during Half-Sacks funeral when the drive by happened. It left me and my family with our jaws dropped and a feeling we just couldnt explain.

  • Is this the song when Jax saw Abel with the other family at the mall type place?

  • @yakideeyakman12 Yes that's the song!

  • its not possiable to ever hear every great song out there but it is awsome when a show this great can have all the right songs big props to kurt and the shows developers that make this for us............. long live samcro

  • Can't wait for season 4 ! SOA is the best ever !

  • I'm a 6'2, 18 stone, heaviy tattooed biker...This scene in SoA made me cry and the song had something to do with it

  • @boondock252 I recommend all of Mark Kozelek's works be it solo, Sun Kil Moon or Red House Painters (look up RHP - "Katy Song" and "Have You Forgotten". Cheers!

  • @cd97peace Oh, don't forget mistress

  • @boondock252 I fell more in love with Kurt Sutter and Charlie Hunnam after this scene... I watched it over and over...perfection... TV doesn't make me cry period, and this did it. Kudos to you for being able to admit it! lol

  • @anvadams I'm 24 years old, and I don't even have a son. Somehow this still made me a bit emotional.

  • @boondock252 lol the things we admit on youtube

  • @s10wcheetah

  • @boondock252 I have 2 stones and its all I need.

  • I have to repeat what so many here have said:

Thank you, Sons of Anarchy, for introducing me to this remarkable music. It perfectly captures that longing Jax was feeling as he watched his son. The music left me breathless.

  • Almost all the songs in Sons are as amazing as this... 4 example before Sons I've never heard of Lynyrd Skynard... now I just can't believe how that's possible... Sons and the music in it changed my life.

  • @Majkl1992

so so glad you heard of lynard skynard now but dude!!! where the hell have you been lol

  • @Majkl1992 I'm agree with you!!

  • This song is soo amazing, the scene that its in on the episode Bainne is so moving, perfect song to capture the moment love it, thanks for uploading the shorter version!!

  • @ClevaBlond88 Yes indeed its really a great scenne and an excellent show :D

  • @Guiersofguar I had to replay that one part before I even knew what happened in the end. There was just something about how they filmed it, the blue coloring, and of course this song.

  • @ClevaBlond88 I remember how great that scene was...and with this song, just perfect!!

  • @ClevaBlond88 I agree and this song plus this pic still chokes me up because I remember crying my eyes out thinking he was going to give Abel up..
