You did something to make it like that...

no, what happened was i didnt COPY the "stage0" def file. all i did was copy the information out of the def file and pasted it into another notepad when i should have copied the original def file and changed the information inside the new def file.

i've made a few stages but now i have a new problem with my latest stage... when the fight starts the entire stage is black and all animations freeze in place wenever a character moves...

help anybody???

Copy STAGE0 and SAVE IT IN YOUR MUGEN FOLDER. that is what i did. I added it to the stages and when i tried it it didn't work... wow that felt like a punch in th e face... :(

go to images -> mode -> indexed color

then change the pallete to exact..

i found it out now!......it wont optimize only because the picture is to large!....i tried using a picture the size 1000 by 920 and it wouldn't go!...but then i tried a smaller picture the size of 830 by 721 and it worked!!!...

I followed this tut a little while ago and got everything right. I forgot exactly how to make a stage so I came back to yours. But for some reason now whenever I open my .bmp image in the pallete edit and click omptimize it doesn't work no colors comr up they all just stay black although I have an image with similar colors to yours. Does anyone know how to fix this???

for the x-axis there is a set of buttons, just next to the zoom-in-lens. the piece of paper with the cross on it. the 1st 3 are for x-axis the other 3 for y-axis.

All your images FIRST need to be bmp, then in FF you can convert them into pcx.

you can but it has to be saved as a bitmap in order for Fighter Factory to read your image and then convert it to PCX within Fighter Factory.
