You want obama solve the oil spill and come down hard on BP, but when it comes to forcing them to pay 20 billion dollars, its to much government. I wish when people criticize obama they wouldn't contradict themselves so much. You elected him for change then you dont like it. I agreed with his invasion of Afghanistan(a policy which obama is continuing just incase you forgot) and some of the anti terror measures he took like creating homeland security. I also agreed with him in appointing petraeus as leader of the coalition forces in iraq at the time. And i also agreed with bushes policies on abortion. So just cause support obama doesn't mean im some uber liberal, don't stereotype me

The last adminstration did most of their spending on tax cuts that benifitted the top 5% of the country, and on an illegal war with iraq. Obama has done spending to keep the economy from crashing. when your in a deep recession you have to spend to bring liquidity to the markets, it makes economic sense. Its what FDR did after cleaning herbert hoovers mess, why should this be any different

@boxingboycow obviously you have to have a transition period to renewable energy, just like how at the beginning of the 20th century you had a transition period from coal to oil. This is going to happen sooner or later. Its just a matter of how long we wanna put it off. Also, its great that you got a nice piece, but a lot of people didnt and it only added to the deficit. Plus it didnt create any new jobs to reduce unemployment. And anyways its a short term things thats gonna expire this year

He states that his adminastration has been on top of this oil disaster since day one..LIE!! All he's done is push blame on BP and send Ken Salazar to investagate. Thats it!! Activating full resources to Louisiana is what he should of done from day one!! Then worry about what BP was going to owe.
