i personally chose 9mm with PWRBall for personal carry; but I wouldn't knock .40 or any other 'traditional' ammo. It's all personal preference, and you're right that .40 is a very viable option.
Boils down to this:
The larger the round, the smaller the cap. Concealment is a huge factor, so only a small amount of 'larger' ammo can be put into a weapon you could conceal. Hell, even an XD9sc is a brick, with 11+1 in the standard mag.

.40 is the caliber prefered by thousands of law enforcement agencies around the world. It is issued by my department. It is true because of the recoil that many people would prefer another caliber. But at a chamber PSI of nearly 35,000 PSI and the velocity involved with the round it does infact provide amazing penetration with very high knockdown numbers at the target. You should give it a second chance... Shoot some ballistics gelatin with it and then fill the cavity with ink... It's amazing.

i personally chose 9mm with PWRBall for personal carry; but I wouldn't knock .40 or any other 'traditional' ammo. It's all personal preference, and you're right that .40 is a very viable option.
Boils down to this:
The larger the round, the smaller the cap. Concealment is a huge factor, so only a small amount of 'larger' ammo can be put into a weapon you could conceal. Hell, even an XD9sc is a brick, with 11+1 in the standard mag.

Yea GLOCKS ARE AMAZING ! ! The stocks tend to be a little shorter then I like BUT they are definatly some amazing guns. The stress test I saw done on it was amazing. But its also a foreign gun that might get outlawed here shortly if obama has his way. But if I have to go american which i choose to i love the S&W M&P series.
Yet to see a stress test on them though.

yes i do. the first pistol i shot was a glock 21 from 25 meters and i was able to keep a 4 inch group. the 21 has a higher caliber than the 22. although this wasnt the first gun i had shot and this was probably a first for the celebrities
