oh yes...I loved the character and I also liked the way the writer's and Jack himself structured the show...the way they wrote the characters as all hating and despising Jack for various reasons. i have a few of Jack's radio shows and there was once a gimmick called the "I Can't Stand Jack Benny Because...." contest. On the air Jack pretended to be offended and insulted and then became agitated when Don announced that the winning entry would be read on the air by Fred Allen.
Bed in the middle of the room? Would that work? Doesn't seem restful, somehow.
