I think Penn nailed it. Look at our culture. We're obsessed with American Idol, Real Housewives of WhoTheFuckCares, Dancing with Disgraced Republican Politicians, Celeb Rehab, etc. It's vulgar and it's empty. Go to the grocery store and tell me you don't feel like a hosebag for staring at Lady Gaga's fat stomach on the beach in the Inquirer's "Gaga Gone Googoo" front page spread. We're disgusting.

@YouPunkPhuck piracy affects people behind the scenes more than the stars, believe me when I tell you sean penn will do fine even if this movie is the most pirated movie of all time...I guarantee you he will not have to take public transportation to his next job and that the time he spent working on this film will average out to WAY ABOVE minimum wage.
