Why are some corvettes wider than otehrs I dont understand? Is that because its a different model tweak? If you can answer my question that would be greatly appreciated.

@8187daytheory  They're called wide body. Vettes have been doing this for awhile. If you look on the Chevy web site at the new vets, you will see that the base corvette has the narrow body design, and the Grand Sport is wider. I actually prefer the narrow body.

@8187daytheory Naw, it just allows you to run wider tires while still remaining legal. You can look at how deep the wheels are on this one compared to a stock vette. There's advantages and disadvantages to running the wider body. Advantage is you can run wider rubber for more traction but at the same time it makes the car a pain in the butt in tight spaces. Also requires upgrading the suspension to get the full benefit of the wider tires.

It's nice to see that classic Corvettes are appreciated in Japan!...there must not be a lot of them over there, and to see one is a rare sight!.....I own an '81 C3, and they sure are a lot of fun to drive!........c3r72m92, try installing a pair of 40 Series Flowmaster mufflers like I have done, and I guarantee you will NOT be dissapointed!...it gives them the sound that these cars need!....far better than your current set-up...just try them out!....nice car, by the way!...take care!
