If you know any of the lore the burning crusade and The Scourge are related.. Somehow i figure that after mop, or some time after it we'lll find out what exacly happened to Sargeras and possibly fight the 2nd coming of the Burning Legion.
I I created a mage, got to 70, and turned off exp. That mage is in Tier 6 gear and will remain that way. I will always run this great raid with only 70s. Nothing but. IT IS HOW PEOPLE SHOULD EXPERIENCE THIS RAID.
@BlackDrako39 You could only truely experience this raid by either having played it back during BC or by timetravelling to when BC was the endgame content. Doing it now with a full raid of lvl 70s is not the same as when it was done when lvl 70 was the maximum level.
Theres been too many changes to classes and their abilities/talent trees to do BT the way you were supposed to do it, even if you do it with a full raid of lvl 70s
@Stonezorz my 70 mage twink can do 15k AB crits, in TBC you could do max 5k maybe. even with only 70s now its 100% faceroll. 1000 dps was a lot back then, a 70 twink can do 5k now rofl..
@T0B0KKE Yeah, Burning Crusade WAS quite enjoyable and remains my favorite of the expansions since we got to see Outland, battle the Burning Legion AND two kickass races (the Draenei and Blood Elves) were introduced and available to play as.
My only complaint in fact is that they made Blood Elven Prince Kael'thas into a bad guy which was a cheap imitation of how Human Prince Arthas fell into darkness.
I remember being excited to be going there, up to tbc wow was an adventure for me and i loved it. Maybe the game changed or maybe i did who knows but i listen to this and i takes me back :)

Level 70 should be the level cap. It'd make all the raids more difficult, and you'd have to rely on actual skill to finish the instances. Although I started WoW just after WotLK, I have to say BC has the most beautiful content of all. -sigh-
i satrted halfway into bc. i enjoy the duns and raids, but hate the outlands, other than for nostalgia. i loved wotlk's lore, duns, zone music, and zone and gear art. i simply HATE cata, other than the breath of al'akir music.
The difficulty to even get to BT(before nerfs), its amazing environment, the awesome music, the thoughness of advancing boss after boss and the history related to every single step you did in there made defeating Illidan one success so heartfilling that nobody out of the game could even imagine. It may be something "useless" for your quotidian life but some experiences in wow raids were really impressing and involved REAL feelings that made normal people feel triumphant for one day.

Doesn't mean I prefer the newer... Less interesting raids, but honestly Recount and Ventrilo/Teamspeak was and still is essential (Communication is key, after all.) even in BC. Pearl isn't really essential, but that doesn't mean it didn't exist during BC.
If blizzard released servers that only worked up to a specific expansion, like a server that only went up as far as BC content, I'd resubscribe in heartbeat.
@TrickKae every new player i meet i pass on the advice to NEVER turn off the music, and in vent or other things like it during raids to only talk when you REALLY need to, so you can hear the music that makes this game that much more of a fantastic experience

I miss the TBC, but i remember the first time than get up there, saw him, and wipe (2 weeks after the server changed to WotLK, and 1 week after i level up to 70), the raid disbanded, but i stay alone up there with Ilidan, the beautiful scenario than the sky show me, and with such and endless song, i never forget that
I feel sad for Blizz they can't bring the past its already gone lots of players want to go back to lvl 60s and 70s was the best days I played and enjoyed every sec.

Vanilla was the best. the feeling you have when you are in C'thun or Nefarian's chamber with other 39 people is unique. playing a naked mage or rogue and still owning geared nubs was also awesome :D TBC was nice too, but WOTLK ruined wow. any retarded rogue can specc combat, get some gear easily and nuke you with the ulti ability in combat tree (i don't know the name). ppl die too hard, classes have stupid abilities, like a warrior who can heal? i mean wtf? who needs that.. it's a warrior
what 'filler lore' are you talking about, all the main raids were related to Kil'jaeden (MH, BT, SSC, TK and even Maggy's lair, since he was captured by illidan, and of course SWP)
Illidan was meant to be the main villain but Blizzard fucked up and made him defeatable early in the expansion and kinda ruined him. Which they themselves admitted was a huge regret
It makes me roll my eyes whenever I hear someone say Cataclysm is a bad expansion. Do you even hear yourselves? Do you actually think and process your thoughts on this expansion? Obviously not. Cataclysm is probably the best expansion there is. Now in the terms of lore, yeah, it's lacking. But since when does a horribly buggy/grindfest game better than the polishing and renewing Cataclysm brought us? The only reason why you miss old xpac's is nostalgia....or you're QQing at its difficulty

World of Warcraft is solely a money maker for Blizzard now, they don't put near as much effort on raid quality. Never played vanilla, but i did play BC, i was a nooby back then. Everything was so big and there were so many questions for me to be answerd. At wotlk, a lot of questions were answered to me, the titans, the undead. But Cataclysm, it has nearly no lore left...

So you consider grinding for long periods of time to get geared "difficult"? That's where I have to disagree. I'm talking strictly of fight mechanics and complexity, of which every expansion has far surpassed BC.
There's something about Outland that makes me..uncomfortable. It makes me feel like it's a Sunday afternoon, that tired feeling. The Draenei architecture and some of the music I don't necessarily think are bad...however, they don't give me a "good" feeling. This music, however, is hands down the best music I've ever heard from WoW. Whenever I hear it, I feel like I'm standing in the middle of a forgotten world, lost. No one I can ask for help, no one even there. Just emptiness. Beautiful.

I played WoW since release, stopped, started with BC, stopped, started with Wotlk and then stopped finally.
I loved Vanilla WoW but looking back at the whole piece i must say, that wotlk was really really good.
Maybe just because i love the whole northern setting and so on but if I had to rate WoW it would be:

I miss the TBC, but i remember the first time than get up there, saw him, and wipe (2 weeks after the server changed to WotLK, and 1 week after i level up to 70), the raid disbanded, but i stay alone up there with Ilidan, the beautiful scenario than the sky show me, and with such and endless song, i never forget that

its called tru-wow. you can all join in if you want, its 2.4.3.

Oh god i sound like my grandpa o_o But it´s true, I´m playing on an PvP server, where PvP is dead, open world pvp hardly exists because no body is questing because the old inis grand you 4 times more ep.. When you see an enemy, he just jumps on his mount and flys away. The only way to get open world pvp are the assholes camping the entrance to the mobs in the molten front.. and come on guys! Is that what you wished for? Thanks Blizz...

@Cedtim you know why had to make the world pvp go away? because noone could turn or even accept quests. cause some stupid alliance or horde player found it fun to keep on killing all the quest givers and such. looks at the old crossroads, You could NEVER quest there before blizzard pretty much killed world pvp

People still kill quest givers, and "old" crossroads never went away, it's always harassed by alliance, and vice versa for alliance towns.
Generally, as long as players can still attack enemy npcs people will still find it funny to camp enemy towns and frustrate the lower levels.

Vanilla was the best. the feeling you have when you are in C'thun or Nefarian's chamber with other 39 people is unique. playing a naked mage or rogue and still owning geared nubs was also awesome :D TBC was nice too, but WOTLK ruined wow. any retarded rogue can specc combat, get some gear easily and nuke you with the ulti ability in combat tree (i don't know the name). ppl die too hard, classes have stupid abilities, like a warrior who can heal? i mean wtf? who needs that.. it's a warrior

It makes me roll my eyes whenever I hear someone say Cataclysm is a bad expansion. Do you even hear yourselves? Do you actually think and process your thoughts on this expansion? Obviously not. Cataclysm is probably the best expansion there is. Now in the terms of lore, yeah, it's lacking. But since when does a horribly buggy/grindfest game better than the polishing and renewing Cataclysm brought us? The only reason why you miss old xpac's is nostalgia....or you're QQing at its difficulty

World of Warcraft is solely a money maker for Blizzard now, they don't put near as much effort on raid quality. Find a raid that maintains a good balance between difficulty and intricacy as Karazhan or Black Temple in any WotLK or up and coming Cata patch, and then I'll agree with you.

It's better to say that you were there than saying the new stuff ruined the old stuff. Metaphorically speaking doesn't it happen anyways? The new takes place of the old to make it new? I really don't know 'bout you but I still like playing WoW as is :)

Never played vanilla, but i did play BC, i was a nooby back then. Everything was so big and there were so many questions for me to be answerd. At wotlk, a lot of questions were answered to me, the titans, the undead. But Cataclysm, it has nearly no lore left...

Why did Raganos and Nefarian suddenly stop fighting each other in black rock temple as soon as fucking Deathwing turns up? Why do the Zandalari wish to unite the troll empires when it was they who gave quests to kill the frost troll chief in Gundrak AND the gurubashi trolls god Hakkar?!

There's something about Outland that makes me..uncomfortable. It makes me feel like it's a Sunday afternoon, that tired feeling. The Draenei architecture and some of the music I don't necessarily think are bad...however, they don't give me a "good" feeling. This music, however, is hands down the best music I've ever heard from WoW. Whenever I hear it, I feel like I'm standing in the middle of a forgotten world, lost. No one I can ask for help, no one even there. Just emptiness. Beautiful.
