  • i woudl say it is not D minor but D major

  • Black Crowes yeah..

  • This is great for intermediate guitarists like myself. It gives you an idea of what you sound like in conjunction with other instruments, as opposed to you just running scales over and over which to you sound great but won't get you anywhere if its not in sync with the rest of the instruments.

  • Great track, have been playing for 35 years, just began jamming with your yracks about 6 weeks ago. I would have loved this tool when I first began playing,Thanks

  • Great Track!!!

  • Good but its D major not minor =P

  • @Arcanecide When a track says D minor, for instance, that is what you play over it in. While the chords under you may be in D major, you want the minor third in this song. Playing a major third does not fit in this song. And you can play major thirds in blues; they add nice colour to the music. Just not in this song.

  • @PatrickNiedzielski umm... no. you can play whatever you want. it's called improvisation. in fact, the D major Blues fits perfectly with this, whereas the D Minor Blues sounds kinda funky in conjunction with the major chords. bottom line is, does it sound good? and if yes, play whatever you want

  • @IrishLebaneseBeast My point is the blues scale does not change between D minor and D major. So "the D Minor Blues sounds kinda funky in conjunction with the major chords" vs "D major blues fits perfectly with this"...they are the same.

"you can play whatever you want" Yes. I understand. But you yourself say, "does it sound good?" I said "Playing a major third does not fit in this song".

  • @PatrickNiedzielski Dm blues and DMaj blues are two different scales. Dm blues is 1 b3 4 #4 5 b7 8 and DMaj blues is 1 2 b3 3 5 6 8

"D Blues" refers to the minor blues scale, but there's a major blues scale as well. along with a major pentatonic scale.

also, I think the major 3rd (being F# in DMaj) sounds fine in this song.

  • @PatrickNiedzielski although, I've changed my mind about the Dm blues sounding weird. Dm blues works just as well as DMaj blues

  • black crowes ....oh yeah!!

  • todos estan exelentes .....muchas ggracias desde argentinaaa

  • i found this randomly and love it
