I remember watching this when I was little... And I never knew what it was called for the LONGEST time. Now I found it... And well, I see how much better my imagination was when I was younger xD
For me, this was the best (creepiest) part of one of the first scary movies I was allowed to watch (except for Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, which wasn't that scary for me).
This was recently on Encore OnDemand. This brings back so many memories when I used to watch this with my late older brother. We loved to hear the father scream, "I WANT MY CAKE!" We would be on the floor in tears! To this day, Creepshows 1 & 2 remain classics. Horror movies today are hot garbage!
i remember watching this exact episode when i was seven. scared the hell out of me and i've always remembered it. i didn't know is was by Stephen King... it's things like this that makes me so addicted to his work. the man is a fucking genius.
I found out what she was saying on an online movie script database. She said, "I don't hear you. I said I don't hear you!!"
I guess the low-budget sound systems and the lack of technology at the time was not sufficient enough to allow you to hear what a person was saying lol. But this is by far the best Creepshow out of all of them. As technology got greater, true acting got weaker!
I just watched this last night with a friend again and I we noticed the ashtray used in "Father's Day" to smash Father's head in shows up in "Something To Tide You Over" and "The Crate" and also The Meteor story! Look for it.
man...this brings back memories...now this is what I called Horror...material today just isn't as scary to me...I laugh at it now...but when you brought up on this type of stuff...it gave me nightmares!!! and the music was better too...so errie
When I first saw this I was 9 years old in the 1980's and it scared the hell out of me when I first saw this.Where's my cake you dirty bitch.Hahahaha.I love it.
Yes indeed, this one always scared me the most out of all of them! I guess I was about eight when I first saw it and I had nightmares...now the only thing that scares me about it is Ed Harris disco dancing.
I remember this movie like it was yesterday. I watched it with my sister when I was five and it gave me nightmares and a fear of cemetaries for years.
Why doesnt somebody just get that poor old man a Dairy Queen ice cream cake, you know hes smokin the cheeba cuz of his glaucoma and hes got the munchies big time.

thomasfreightliner 3 years ago
I'm not sure, but the scene where their "dancing" has to be the cheesiest, most retarded, unintentionally hilarious scene in film history.
