  • Thumbs up If you fell asleep before the end :-)

  • I'm so disappointed. Now Roo and GWT are not synchronized together. I spent 2 days trying to launch Roo-1.1.5 and GWT-2.4.0 - it's impossible.

  • Oh thats incredibly full length. The video is 2 hours long.

  • why not upload a 720p or 1080p just this 480p video ? don't you have a good camera

  • @intermediavishnu well this 480 video has a very good quality ^^

  • @intermediavishnu I don't think you saw it but its a 2-hour-video, you'll die before it finishes on hd :x

  • lol steve jobs late night email ;) google pwns

  • Shame on Google how lies in comparing IE9 and Chrome.

  • thumbs up iif you watched the whole thing... lol

  • this indian guy seems to be trying to change his voice to a cool one HAHAHA

  • I still waiting for froyo 2.2.. is all what i have to say.

  • @Leopardo559 Do something instead of whining :) it helps. It's available for nearly all devices if you take matters into your own hands. unless you've bought some 100 buck chinese android phone.

  • Wow... I watched the whole... THING... idk why either

  • Boogle!!

  • Get it and connect with me free flirtly fun cha ow.ly

  • I'm excited about chrome OS, but I'm still a little scared

  • Among the list of things that Google can learn from apple (which actually isnt a long list at all), one is presentation. "Specialized" or trend specific taste items are really not a good idea for advertising in the long run. If you use trend specific music (like the shitty opening techno sound fx) your products and company image will always look dated and tacky and it is hit or miss with who you will put off.

Apples plain image is actually a much more stable & versatile platform for promotion

  • 12 people use internet explorer...

  • are you seriously going to watch something that is 2 hours on youtube?

  • hahaha bob's profile pic is the epic face!

  • 2 hours.... uhhhhh bullet points please?

  • html5 is everywhere ;-), IE6, IE7, IE8: no support for html5. (only the beta of IE9 supports it). youtube is not going to switch to html5, for that very reason ;-)

  • woah.

  • i like eggs

  • Why is the guy still using Windows

They said they stopped using Windows in a press statement

  • @OSyTim well DUUUUH Microsoft=Ownage!

  • @OSyTim That was more recent then this.

  • nice to get all the developers to speak and explain stuff on the dais rather than the ceo himself like Jobs who keeps reciting "magical" once every 2 minutes..

  • all I care about is them getting rid of video cop.... did they

  • LOL, awesome face FTW. :D

  • google are slightly HUUUUUUUUUUUGEEEEEE, however google chrome dosent recognise google as a word. keeps giving me red lines, garghhhhh. can wait for android 3.0

  • Did they give everyone free Evo 4G's away?

  • What's the music? Sounds cool.

  • these are so boring. xD

  • @hwahwa5 it's not for me or for u, it's for developers :)

  • @hwahwa5 compared to reading API reference manuals, this rocks :-).

  • @hwahwa5 you don't have to watch x3 but if you listen to what they are saying you can at least get excited for the new technology.. But these are meant for Google developers who didn't go to Google I/O or wanted to rewatch a keynote.

  • I want to go to: 4414 Mt. Vernon, Houston, Texas 77006

  • is there anyone else other than GoogleDevelopers tested out the nba exercise system for dunking and shooting? Even Kobe, Ray Allen and Gilbert Arenas have made use of this system. If you don t know what I m talking about, just check it out urself | 50 inch vertical [dot] com |

    Google I/O 2010 - Keynote Day 1 - Full Length xejfr rzgmyhhedauhhdz #GoogleDevelopers

  • gotta love th graphical work google has done. iconic, up to date and none of that shiny stuff.

  • It is sad, that clicker service extends only upon US.

  • i odnt know what i just watched

  • i think the whole broadcast is better with vevuzelas on

  • That's a big screen..

  • 9:35 LOL! :D

  • Boy do some of those geeks lack social skills. You could immediately tell how nervous some of the speakers were.

  • @MixesAndStuff Don't mess with the geeks, faggotfuck.

  • Once I started feeling how nervous they speakers were, I had to stop watching. I have NO stage fright, but I was able to understand it to a point that I took a gulp each time I heard "um". Is it really that hard to find a confident geek? Or was the search too much work? Obviously not, I'm right here.

  • I HAD A FAWKIN AWESOME TIME THERE

Don't worry google. It was awesome.

  • Maybe the hangover starts at 8:30 tomorrow morning

  • If Gates and Jobs had a baby it would be Gundotra.

  • youtube belongs to google too!

  • this makes me want to be a developer

  • I am really thinking of redirecting my profession and try to get to google...no really your doing great work there and I want to join ;-)

  • @FeistnFlink 1.5 in a million people get to work for Google, so good luck. :P

  • i like it

  • this video sure very well put together from the developers. it makes you want to learn more about apps. ...its amazing the minds can do when you have a great co. to work for and the communities....thanks again for everything that you done to enrich peoples lives.....

  • Not speaking of content, but in terms of presentation skills:

Poor presentation compared to Apple. I'm aware that most presenters are engineers and not presenters, but still the speakers simply do not excite the audience.

Music is horrible by the way. Reminiscent of the lack of artistic value in Google products.

    Also, HEYCH-t-m-l 5? Come on.

  • God i wanted to be there so flippin' bad....

  • waiting for applause fail at 0.45

  • omg what a crappy music :S

next time call me i'll sing for free!

  • dubstep at the beginning

  • So, so. So so so so so SO so So. So, so so...so. Remember when people cared enough about what they were saying that they made sure they sounded smarter than someone who starts every 5th sentence with the word "so"?

  • I don't know what channels do I have to use to say this, but really developers of wave, the real thing that is lacking in google wave in the aims of communication and collaboration is the voice communication. I have previous experience working with skype in collaboration and I find it, really helpful tool is nice to add some service like this. and not only the USA. greetings

  • Android fail. Theey were presumably on the same exact network and the experience on the Android device was excruciating. Of course we know the network was working fine cause the iPhone OS device worked fine.

  • sorry if I missed it, but does anyone know what kind of server the huge employee expense reports demo run on in terms of number of servers, and their performance, thanks!

  • Seeing the CTO of Adobe walk out to do a supporting keynote piece on HTML5 was the most ironic shit I've seen in a long time.

  • What's the point of making all the sessions private? I subscribe to the GoogleDevelopers channel, but all the interesting videos are private & I can't view them! It's not like they wouldn't have sold out of the event if the videos weren't private -- I didn't go because it was sold out before my company finally decided to send me.

Google should make all the session videos available to everyone because good video on programming in the Google world is sorely lacking!

  • @johnnylambada

I totally agree man, what better to make the point to programmers everywhere of Google = Open and Apple = Close then making all sessions open instead of charging a bunch for them like Apple's WWDC's sessions last year.

  • @johnnylambada According to the Google I/O FAQ , the other session videos will be posted soon.

  • Will you have this full video in HD as well, soon, or if i want it in HD, will I have to download the individual parts? thanks.

  • i rate Apple's keynotes 5 starts over 5 and Google's is only 3...

  • @chilliwilly1000 No-one cares what you rate it....

  • Is that Jeff Goldblum, lol! JK!

  • Okey, so what we need now is a new Google phone (or Android device), with glassless 3D effects. (think 3ds, parallax barriers) and a 3D cam. To take 3d pics and movies. (like the 720 p from sharp).

AND since youtube is 3D capable. The users can sheer 3d photos and movies.

which should kick ass!!!!!! Make it happen! i want one.

  • Go beat Apple !

  • Yeah you´re right it is IE9, and you´re also right about PC users laziness.

  • Haha the Adobe guy knows really well that HTML5 is going to kill its cashcow Flash! Good riddance, it's old technology that should be trashed!

  • Awesome. these people are completely amazing. driven, creative,...the brains behind everything that makes being alive at this point in the history of the universe so completely incredible.

  • Is it me, or is the guy speaking about app privileges and stuff sound like the narrator for dovetastic? You know, the guy whoe says, "as you can see you professional microwave operator is really pleased with the microwavability of [thingy]..."

  • 9: 37

    IE8 was pawned!

  • @Ontimonti Isn't it IE9? IE8 does not support HTML5 video (only with Chrome Frame). And the most sad thing is that around 70% or more of the PC users use IE, probably because they are lazy and use what comes with the OS as default :O

  • Day 2 keynote, including most of the Google TV demos, was not included in its complete form, due to certain permission and copyright issues. You can find several little pieces on this same channel.

  • Comment removed

  • Where is the keynote of day 2?

  • Why is each speaker gesticulating wildly with their hands? It looks ridiculous.

  • Google has some hideously ugly staff

  • The iPad OWNED the android...lol

  • @ngjimmy What the hell does that even MEAN? The android? Android is an OS. The ipad doesnt compete with many mainstream android devices...

  • Well the HTML5 Thing really proved apple point of view about flash and HTML5 apparently they can't be even compared, i have always been a FLASH fan but this HTML5 is just woww, also i hate how they trying to look like apple, now the big question why did they name is Keynote not powerpoint are they leaning toward apple :P :D #fail

  • @Mercurious1994 ...Apple didn't invent the Keynote address, they just decided to name their slideshow software after it. Keynotes take place at lots of events/conferences.

PowerPoint on the other hand is purely the name of Microsoft's slideshow presentation software, it has no outside meaning.

  • He sound like steve jobs without the steve jobs charm

  • You think Kevin Gibbs's gay?

  • 1:40:27 EPIC FAIL @ Android, LOL

  • #FAIL the keynote is Apple style

  • @chilliwilly1000 Difference is, Apple keynotes don't have their wifi fail on them halfway!

  • @lightmage81 yeh #LOL

  • Everybody wants to be Apple

  • Where Can I Learn HTML5? I am just a High School Student.

  • @MrDiscoHeaven diveintohtml5DOTorg is the best I've seen so far

  • Google kicking Adobe in behind with HTML 5. webM is answer to Flash for good.

  • Why isn't this video available in HTML5?

  • wheres day 2 at ???????? i want to see froyo 2.2

  • when they finish editing out all the glitches that they had today, they found they didn't have enough usable material for a day 2 video

  • DAY2 ???

  • Where is Google IO 2010 Keynote of Day 2?

  • @DinPats They are going to uploade it tomorrow!"

  • Where is Keynote Day #2?

  • Looks like Google is having some difficulties in editing the recording of Day2 keynote

  • uoio

  • Great! I here in Brazil can watch these amazing presentations, from an event that costs$100! It's the power of Internet!

  • Apple owned Google on their own event...

This is not advertisement... its just reality :D

  • this is great I ditched programming bcoz it was dull, but now this seems like something I can do in my own free time, I LOVE IT THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS. Anybody who talks down this video knows nothing about app production.

  • when will day 2 be uploaded? thats the more interesting one for consumers

  • this guy is no steve jobs...

  • windows and os x are doomed

  • @uklebot Windows is doomed. All 90% of its market share :P

  • ahh, thanks dilbert444

  • what time on video is froyo mentioned?

  • @saintsallthewaybrees froyo is day 2. this video is of day 1.

  • Microsoft is so dead versus Google and Apple.

  • @crispynip Because Google and Apple play well together.

  • hurry up and upload day 2!

  • Starting from about 1:40:20 it gets really funny for those who like the iPad. MacDailyNews has a very funny article about the embarrasing demo - recommended to all. Sheesh, I love the iPad.

  • @shahnlgh Geez imagine that biased news writing is biased :P In all seriousness, there's a chance that some of the latency issues were OS based ( doubtful since the android OS is faster >_>" ) and some of it was network based ( which is more likely since well, it's wireless :( ). Eitherway, errors in presentations are hilarious regardless of who it is, and what they're trying to do, is universally wonderful.

  • At 9:49 he says "so you as developers", not "so U.S. developers".

  • I'm sure Day 2 is being encoding/uploading now (or at least soon). I also missed it and it was defiantly the more exciting day.

  • Umm, I know this is a tech demo but why did the Android phone run like crap compared to the iPad?

  • @1958lespaul1

because there is no "the" Android phone. You might mean Googles Nexus One which is the only phone by Google. Android is the platform, there are many phones running Android by different manufacturers like RIM and so on. Also, the iPad is not a Phone ;)

  • Why is this video not in WebM (VP8+Vorbis+Matroska)(yet?)?

  • Comment removed

  • @XenonG no browser support yet...

  • AKA " "Googles embarrassing demo: iPad vs. Android device (with video)

"Just a few moments ago at the Google I/O the demonstration team encountered one of the more embarrassing problems in modern tech presentation memory. An iPad and a Google Android phone were set up side-by-side to display the loading of a new application. While the iPad populated and loaded quickly, the Android phone was less successful." " The fun starts at 1:40:27:

  • @tribaleye2000 The app was already streamloaded into the iPad, only changed a bit, while the Android was loading it from the wifi from IO. My Nexus was lagging as hell as well as my iPad.

  • What was everyone applauding at just after 25:00?

  • @fablungo Just random light applause for not having to license a lot of junk to be a web developer.

  • Anyone know were to watch todays video from keynote? I've missed it =(
