Well most people dosn't realise that this movie was inspired by William Gibson's book Neuromancer thats why hacking looks like a video gaming becuse that is a "cyberspace" If people would read the book they would understand that a cyberspace is somesort of 3d internet but I agree the technique's are unreallistic the first one was alright since it was only social engineering.
