and we eat codfish at chrismas eve. caldo verde is good, but our bean soup beats it. and we have a nice steak with a fried egg on top. and then you could go and search for francesinha, a sandwich from north of portugal, that was i thhnk on time magazine, one of the best sandwiches in the world.
I've eaten here many times, too many to count. Skip the diner food, (it's good, sure, don't worry, but do yourself a favor) and order the Portugese dishes. Insanely good food.
My girlfriend Cindy and I have been to Grubstake and love it! The prock chop is outstanding, but also try the Tri-Tip (melts in your mouth) and apple cinnamon with vanilla ice cream. Best apple pie we've ever tasted!
