Roy was one of the few singers who didn't record B side quality songs. Some of his best "A sides" may have more of a hook to entice the record buying public, but the vocals and music are of high quality in both Roy's "A" and "B" sides.
First record I ever bought of Roy's with a record voucher on my 15th birthday . I liked Dream Baby but must have played The Actress many times more if only to understand all the lyrics. Have been a Roy fan ever since.
Didn't get the air time it deserved......and far better than the A side...in my humble opinion.

To my knowledge this IS the same as the 45 version. I used to have it years ago and would have noticed even the slightest difference.

sometime listen to 'The Crowd ' one of his best.......also from 1962 and the flip side was MAMA..ALSO A GREAT 'b' side

Took me awhile to like "Dream Baby" but this side has been a favourite ever since I heard it.
